Meadow - let the flowers tend to you, is an exhibition showing at Leda Gallery Newcastle, June 2023, explorating of the natural cycles of growth and change, inviting you to contemplate the duality of life.
From seeding to regeneration, even in the peacefulness of a meadow, life is constantly transforming. Artists, like Renoir, Monet, Van Gogh, and Constable were inspired by the allure of transformation in meadow flowers and Monet once quoted, “The meadow changeswitheverymoment,butit’satmospherealwaysexudesvitality”.
The Meadow collection seeks to evoke the atmosphere and experience of creative visualisation, a meditation from the imagination as expressive abstract paintings. Continuing the themes of healing, change and growth the collection shows works on canvas and hanging drapes with assemblages.
An experimental approach to the creative art-making process sees the work change and adapt to the forces of the painting in a constant state of flux. The work is flooded on raw canvas with watery glazes and veils of paint showing layers bleeding through, nebulously revealing the history and connection of the paint to the raw canvas. Colour is a compositional device that reinforces the intersection between expressive mark making and colour. The results are organic abstracts, forged in floral form and gestural colour.

How to buy from the Meadow Collection 2023

How does delivery & shipping work?
• Complimentary delivery to the Hunter Valley region including: Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Singleton.
• Other options include pick up from the studio in Lorn, Hunter Valley or shipping via Australia Post.
• All paintings are carefully wrapped and boxed for secure Australia wide and international shipping.
• If preferred, the painting can be rolled into a tube for stretching by a framer in your local area or country of delivery.
• If your painting is being posted, a shipping quotation based on weight and dimension is provided.
• Paintings are shipped upon full payment. (See further payment details on page 21)
Artist Authenticity
• Each painting is catalogued and guaranteed original art by Amanda O’Bryan.
• Paintings are signed and dated.
• Each artwork is delivered with an artist authenticity certificate.
Can I visit the studio?
YES. You are welcome to visit the studio by appointment for in-person visits or via video link. In addition to the Meadow Collection, other paintings maybe in progress including works on paper.
What are my framing options?
All artworks feature 30mm gallery wrapped edges to capture each viewable surface of the painting. If your preference is boxed timber framing, additional options include:
• solid white
• washed white
• natural oak
• smoky black
Framing selections are generally made during your inquiry and include recommendations in turnaround times.
Environmental impact
Original paintings by Amanda O’Bryan are made using Australian 100% non-toxic acrylic paint. No solvents are used in the making of the work. No poisons or toxins are used in the studio contributing to poor air quality, waste, or ending up in our waterways. Plastic, glass and fabric materials are re-used and re-claimed to avoid landfill.

• Direct deposit and credit card is the preferred method of payment.
