DIY Holographic Slime
What are Holograms? How many holograms have you got in your pocket? If you’re carrying any money, the answer is probably “quite a few.” Holograms are those shiny, metallic patterns with ghostly images floating inside them that help to defeat counterfeiters: they’re very hard to reproduce so they help to stop people printing illicit copies of banknotes. Credit cards usually have holograms on them too and software packages also frequently have hologrammatic seals to prove their authenticity. What else can you use holograms for?

DIY Electrolysis in Colour
What is Electrolysis? Electrolysis is a scientific way of “splitting” substances. Electrolysis means “electric-splitting” and involves the separation of substances through an electric current. Electrolysis is used in the mining industry to split reactive metals from their ores after they are taken from the ground. It is also used to plate (cover) things with metal because it costs less than using, for example, 100% pure solid gold to make jewellery. Many beauty shops use electrolysis or electrology to remove hair. This is done by “electrocuting” the hair so it splits along its root.
Michael Faraday, who invented Electric Motor also discovered Laws of Electrolysis!

DIY Screen Printing Art
What is Screen Printing?
Screen printing or Silk printing or Serigraphy is a printing technique that requires three main tools: a Screen, a Squeegee and Ink. In this process, a desired design can be printed on a material by pushing the ink through a mesh or stencil. Either by cut-outs or by an impermeable material, the ink only transfers to areas that the screen permits. This way, a great variety of designs can be placed on the material – think for example of personalized t-shirts.

Cross Stitching is
>1,500 yrs old
Cross-stitch is the oldest form of hand embroidery, dating back to the Middle Ages, and is found all over the world. As its name suggests, cross-stitch is a double stitch diagonally crossing intersections of the horizontal and vertical threads of the fabrics. It is completed on canvas type fabric, like Aida cloth, in which the strands can be counted, or stitched on an evenly woven fabric, like linen.
The oldest embroidery found so-far was in the remote corners of Egypt.
