Mission We have been assigned on a mission to interprete a vision and turn it into a well structured brand identity. This mission was assigned by the Ready to Lead Africa and here is what they defend: * Promoting Constitutional Democracy * Supporting Youth Candidates & Credible Elections * Youth Economic Opportunity & Innovations * Civic Pride Engagements * Public Accountability & Communal Integrity Ready to Lead Africa believes that, as young leaders emerge across Africa, the need to create a more inclusive social contract (the constitution) for their nations which promotes human rights, democracy and social cohesion has never been more crucial than now.

Ready to Lead Africa believes a 200 years plus (The US) surviving constitution is worth learning a thing or two from.

We do not believe any one constitution is perfect and is the best for every situation, but our core belief in constitutional democracy is what makes the US constitution a worthwhile study for emerging young leaders across Africa.

US constitution is the benchmark and we are to ensure that this mission matches the US kind of brand identity when it comes to leadership.

The Plan.

The summary of ReadyToleadAfrica is to prepare potential leaders for political office by exposing them to International best practicesand supporting them during elections . We were able to construct and define the idea with simplicity, usability, and aesthetics to meet international standards.

Our research and thought process team were able to use below as our basis for the construction: 1. “Youthfulness” 2. “Leadership & Political Equipping” 3. “Africa” We

custom-made map of the Africa, 3 lines for direction & 3 stars flowing out of the directions. The stars vary in size just as countries in Africa varies, meaning that, “no matter the size of the community, office or geographical

area,

Using the US leadership as a benchmark, we were able to curate two major colours; Navy Blue and Red. This is a major element shared alongside the brief for the mission.

Looking at the psychology of Blue, it is uplifting, depicts trust and represents justice. Red on the other hand, draws attention and signifies great courage which is essential in the mission to lead.

MISSION Beyond this mission of creating a brand identity is another operational side of the brand; Ready to Lead Africa Movement.

Building an Identity for this is essential to the organisation.

Consistency is also important in maintaining the messages they pass across the different projects that the movement undertake.

Major elements and ideas were shared alongside this special ops.

These include “a Lectern icon” & “the Logo Mark”. The colour and type was also maintained in the process for continuity.

Take it as a room inside a house; the Movement Identity being the room and the Ready to Lead Africa Identity, the House.

The Movement This would work well on Web, Small and Large prints. It is Bold and easily recgonised from afar. See sample usage in the next page.

I Support Emblem This works better “alone” on Tees, Large prints and Rubber stamps. The reason is that it cannot be interchanged or used together with the other.

It’s Intentional.
