“He had somebody on the ground with his knee in his back, with his gun in his back like, ‘Don’t move,’” witness Adam Harris told WGNTV. But an officer responding to the scene fired at Roberson and killed him. “Everybody was screaming out ‘Security!’ He was a security guard,” Harris said. The Midlothian police department confirmed to The Hill that two of its officers responded to the shooting and one opened fire. “Upon arrival Officers learned there were several gunshot victims inside the bar. A Midlothian Officer encountered a subject with a gun and was involved in an Officer involved shooting.Ê The subject the Officer shot was later pronounced deceased at an area hospital,” Chief Daniel Delaney of the Midlothian Police Department said in a statement. Delaney added an investigation into the shooting of the security guard is now taking place. Friends of Roberson told the news station that he planned to become a police officer and was an upstanding man. The Cook County Sheriff’s Office will manage the investigation into the shooting at the bar as the State Police Public Integrity Task Force is investigating the shooting of Roberson. -- hienalouca.com

Former Middle School Bookkeeper Indicted for Theft At least $15,908 Stolen from West Bemis Middle School in Jackson, TN Ê An investigation by the Tennessee Comptroller’s Office, in cooperation with the Jackson Police Department, has resulted in the indictment of Judy Hale (right), the former bookkeeper at West Bemis Middle School in Jackson. The investigation began after Jackson-Madison County School District officials reported missing deposits to the Comptroller’s Office and Jackson Police. Investigators determined that Hale stole at least $15,908 between July 2017 and October 2017. She failed to deposit cash from candy, T-shirt, cookie dough, and discount card fundraisers. Instead, she kept the money for her personal benefit. Judy Hale was suspended without pay and subsequently retired from the Jackson-Madison County School System effective October 7, 2017. She was indicted by the Madison County Grand Jury on October 29, 2018 for one count of theft over $10,000.

18-YEAR-OLD CHARGED IN RALEIGH MASSÊSHOOTING NOVEMBER 13, 2018, BYÊERYN TAYLOR,Ê-wreg.com MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An 18-year-old was charged following a mass shooting over the weekend in Raleigh. According to police, Jadarrius Mobley was shooting dice with several other people inside a home on Sunridge Drive on Saturday when one of the players pulled out a large sum of money. The victims stated that’s when 22-year-old Marquese Taylor pulled out a gun and pointed it at the man. Taylor grabbed a gun next to the victim and handed it to Mobley, they said. Marcus Conway, who was sitting on the floor near Mobley, lunged for the gun. There was a brief struggle during which a shot was fired. Police said Mobley then opened fire on all the Jadarrius Mobley men inside the home. Once the shooting was over, Mobley and Taylor fled the scene in a gray Infiniti. Police said Taylor was later dropped off at a hospital where he died from a gunshot wound which he sustained during the shooting. Conway was also pronounced dead at the crime scene. Mobley was charged with first-degree murder, attempted aggravated robbery and murder in perpetration of a felony.

He was also my starting point guard all four years of his high school career at Liberty Tech in Jackson. He helped lead Liberty Tech to Back to Back Class AA State Championships in 2006 and 2007.Ê Those were the first ever state championships in boys basketball in the history of Jackson, TN. He made the state tournament ALL TOURNAMENT TEAM in 2007 and I think he scored less than 12 points combined in all 3 games. That lets you know it’s not all about scoring points! To say that he was always the crowd’s favorite would be an understatement! He literally stands at 5 feet and 1 inch tall (although we listed him at 5’3)! He was always the smallest player on the court, but no one had a BIGGER HEART, nor played with more intensity than him. He never lead any of his teams in scoring, but he impacted EVERY single game that he played in on BOTH ends of the floor. He was tenacious and relentless on defense. No one could guard the ball like him. He was and still is a ball handlers worst nightmare! He didn’t score a lot of points, but I guarantee you that he had a hand in on almost every point that his teammates scored. So, to all of you selfish players and parents out there (and there are a BUNCH of them) who are only concerned about the amount of points that you or your kid scores....you all can learn a VALUABLE lesson from Lil’ Ant!! The game of basketball is about more than just scoring points! Congratulations again Ant for your selfless contribution to the game of basketball. He defied a lot of odds both on the basketball court and in life. His success story is an example of what can be accomplished if you’re willing to put the work in!! An induction into Freed Hardeman’s Hall of Fame was well deserved!!

Tell them you read it in The CrimeSEEN!
