City Of Jackson Early Voting

Early voting continues through April 27 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm and Saturdays 9:00 am until noon. Voters will be electing a City of Jackson Mayor and nine city council members.

Early voting is being held at the auditorium of the Madison County Agriculture complex located at 311 North Parkway in Jackson.

Through Saturday vote totals were 1,097

Retired Teachers met at Bolivar Elementary

The West Tennessee Retired Teachers Association met at Bolivar Elementary School. Hardeman County Retired Teachers were the host, Freedell Harris, President. Director of Hardeman County Schools, Dr. Christy Smith, spoke on Education: Challenges and Opportunities. Evelyn Robinson, Jr. gave Blue Oval highlights and officers shared association information. Officers are: Rose Anderson (Madison Co.) President;Charles Green (Shelby Co.) Vice President ; Almeda Luster (Tipton Co.) Secretary; Daisy Cleaves (Shelby Co.) Treasurer; and Bill Murray (Tipton Co) Parliamentarian.
