Public Notice Of Meeting Of The Jackson City Council

Pursuant to Section 7. of Resolution # 2008-23 adopted by City of Jackson, Tennessee on December 2, 2008, notice is hereby given to all residents of the City of Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee, and to all persons interested that at the regular special meeting of the City Council for the City of Jackson, Tennessee held in City Hall at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, the City Council shall consider a Resolution withdrawing from and dissolving the Jackson (F.E. Wright) Economic Development District and to withdraw from participation in the contribution of tax increment financing (TIF) and to terminate such TIF district.

IN OBEDIENCE TO AN ORDER ENTERED IN THE CHANCERY COURT OF MADISON COUNTY, TENNESSEE AT JACKSON, I will, on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at the Madison County Courthouse, Jackson, Tennessee, sell to the highest and best bidder the following property:

BEGINNING at a stake on the east margin of Jones Road, this point being 1,300 feet south of the internal corner of Morris Dereberry Estate; runs thence the next three calls with the residue of Wade Maroney: east 420 feet; south 210 feet; west 420 feet to the east margin of Jones road; runs thence north with the east margin of Jones Road 210 feet to the point of beginning, containing 2 acres.

Being the same property conveyed to Jerome Edward Hoffman by Warranty Deed of Roy Wilson and wife, Shirley Wilson, dated February 8, 1989 of record in Deed Book 486, Page 69, in the Register’s Office Of Madison County, Tennessee.

If a raise is received, the original purchaser shall receive a refund of the 10% paid. (No interest will be paid on money tendered for the purposes of this sale whether refunded or not.)
