“Aside from smelling terribly, it was very disheartening being at the dump and seeing all the trash that humans manage to accumulate that will one day become part of our earth as it is buried. SCI on the other hand was by far one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, greatly due to its lack of human impact. The island gives me hope that someday our earth will be restored and can achieve a similar beauty. SCI inspired my decision to pursue environmental engineering. “
