WELCOME Greetings horror fans and welcome to the 2015 Crimson Screen Horror Film Fest! We are so thrilled that you are supporting indie horror film by coming to our second annual event in Charleston, SC. Last year we had the very first Crimson Screen Horror Film Fest. Being our first year we did not know what to expect and being on Easter weekend, we were expecting the worst. We were shocked and amazed at the turn out we had. Not only did we have tons of horror fans, but filmmakers from all over the globe came and supported the festival as well. This year we added an additional day in order to show more feature films and host Q&As with visiting filmmakers after the screenings. We were able to bring in some special guests and add a filmmakers panel this year as well so we hope you notice the changes. We were able to team up with the world’s largest distributor of short films, ShortsTV, which will give great opportunities to the short films featured in this year’s fest. We want to thank all of our sponsors who helped us put on a great festival and contribute to the awards for the filmmakers. North Charleston Cultural Arts Department has been a big supporter of ours and we could not have had a festival without their support. They understand what supporting the arts is about and show it by hosting our indie horror film every year. As the festival continues to grow, we will put more and more back into the event to make it bigger and better each year. The focus of Crimson Screen will always be the movies. The heart and soul of this festival are the movies that the filmmakers put their blood (literally) and tears into making. We are a competitive festival but we also are a supportive festival. We want to showcase the best films, but also inspire and support up and coming filmmakers too. Thank you for supporting us this year and we hope you will come again next year as well!

2015 Special Guests Meet Scream Queen and horror movie legend DEBBIE ROCHON! Debbie will be appearing all three days of the festival and will be screening the WORLD PREMIERE of her directorial feature film debut "Model Hunger". She also stars in "Dorchester's Revenge: The Return of Crinoline Head" which will have a special screening, and also is featured in the feature "Phobia" which is an official selection. Debbie will be signing photos and taking pics all weekend so stop by and say hello! Director/Writer STEVEN BALDERSON will be screening his new horror film "Hell Town" at this years fest. After attending CalArts Film School, Steve Balderson had something many film makers don't achieve in a lifetime: a fully realized artistic vision. At the young age of 23, he made his first full-length feature film, PEP SQUAD, which became a cult classic. His second film, FIRECRACKER, starring Karen Black and Mike Patton, was praised by critics worldwide and given a Special Jury Award on Roger Ebert’s list of 2005’s Best Films. His third film, WATCH OUT, was praised by critics as “One of the great cult films of all time” and shortlisted for Best International Feature in various film festivals. In 2011, the U.S. Library of Congress selected his film THE CASSEROLE CLUB (starring Backstreet Boys singer Kevin Richardson, Daniela Sea, and Susan Traylor) for its permanent collection. Steve

An intensive one hour experience with one of the world's leading renegade filmmakers. Steve will share several secrets ranging from how to make your vision stand out, and how to turn any weaknesses into triumphs, to sharing a unique process for how to respond resourcefully to criticism. Registration fee - $25 Resgister by visiting Steve's booth at the festival. Space is limited. Credit cards or cash at the door. Special effects make up artist TONY ROSEN will be a special guest of this years festival. Horror fans will know Tony's work from such horror films as "Pieces of Talent" and he also created our "Crimmy" trophies. Tony is most known for creating the Annabelle doll that was used in "The Conjuring" and "Annabelle" and will have her on hand for you to take a peek at.
