Daniel Fenti - Owner Me? I'm Daniel Fenti, owner and chief monkey here at NC Transmission Professional Center. I got tall in Syracuse, NY, not sure if I'm grown up yet. I moved to the Raleigh area back in 1994 wet behind the ears and fresh out of college. After taking a few lumps in the corporate world I went on to a very exciting and challenging career in sales for consumer electronics wholesale. I sold major brands of CE for several years, rising through the ranks and being a very successful salesperson for several years. I went on to establish the sales division of the largest CE installation company in the US, and then back to selling wholesale for a Berkshire Hathaway company. During the big economic challenges of 2008, I became a victim, and got laid off in November. I spent an angst ridden few months trying to figure out what to do with myself when my then 5 year old son laid it out for me. "I know what you can do, dad, you can be a car fixer." Yeah, OK, so I do my own oil changes and brake work and tinker with other stuff, but become a mechanic? Nah. No time to learn how. I looked at other options, but no one was hiring elite salespeople, so what next? Through the power of the internet and long deep prayers, I found an opportunity right here in Fuquay for a transmission shop. What do I know about transmission repair? Not a lot, but hey, it's a shop, I can make it into my own image, right? Working with the owners, I figured it out and the rest, as they say, is history in the making.

I love cars, from Detroit rolling steel to sleek European sedans, what's better than the roar of a V-8 or the sucking whoosh of a turbo charged 4? My passion is Jeeps, I've owned a Wrangler (TJ) a Liberty (KJ) and now a Grand Cherokee (WJ). I want to build a Willy's wagon for the shop mascot vehicle, so if you find one out there, let me know.
Nestor Parra Nestor has been with the shop almost since it opened up. Employed first by Oscar and Luis, Nestor has been with me since I bought the shop. Nestor went to automotive mechanics school in Mexico City where he comes from and immigrated to the US a few years later. Learning the trade is challenging enough, but doing it in two languages at once is a remarkable feat. Nestor continues to amaze me daily with the depth and breadth of his knowledge.
Andrew Knight Andy came on board with me in September 09 as a "stopgap" measure. I didn't want him to land somewhere else, and he agreed to come on board to do that work which he wasn't super happy about. Within a few weeks, Andy had helped me tighten up my shop personnel, had skilled me in the correct leveraging of the suppliers and had gone from a new guy to my
