Nowadays wedding rings are available in a wide variety of metals like titanium, cobalt chrome and tungsten apart from the conventional and expensive platinum and gold. While selecting a wedding ring you must first decide the metal and then opt for either a traditional or modern style. With so many available options the task of making the right choice gets a bit confusing. The ring that you select is a personal decision. While selecting a ring keep the following points in mind. It should be resistant to scratches – most people stop wearing their wedding ring once it gets a lot of scratches you wouldn’t want to do that. Try to go for a titanium ring as it is stronger than platinum or gold and resistant to scratches. The same goes for a cobalt chrome ring.
It should be strong – after prolonged usage the rings usually bend out of shapes. A tungsten wedding ring never bends although it may shatter under extreme pressures; however cobalt chrome or titanium ring may lose their shape but only under extremely high pressures.
The metal must never lose its shine – wedding bands made out of silver or gold lose their shine but the best part about owning a tungsten, titanium or a cobalt chrome ring is that it would never do so, even if you wear the ring while doing your daily chores. All the rings mentioned above are scratch resistant, would never lose their shine, would always retain their shape and most importantly are not as expensive as platinum or gold. In the end it all comes to your own decision. Make your decision wisely for you have to keep your wedding ring till the end.
