He works with different interior and architecture magazines such as Habitania, El Mueble or Arcquitectura y Diseño. The Photographs he presents on this exhibition are based on the principles he considers fundamental in photography: The Frame, The Light and the Point of view, looking at objects and people in a personal and subjective way. In order to achieve the desired effects he uses instruments in traditional photography like the lens, the aperture and the speed. In all the photos geometry and proportion are essential and inspired on great masters such as André Kertész, Alfred Stieglitz, Berenice Abbot and many more. JOSE LUIS BARCIA He loves street photography because of the people, colour, energy, lines, lights and shadows. For José photography is a way of expressing emotions and moods. His pictures are very minimalist. By minimizing the number of elements in the photo, reducing the colour palette only to black and white and through the use of negative space, shadows and silhouettes he creates an atmosphere, a certain halo of mystery.
José Luis Barcia Fernandez was born in 1977 in Pola de Siero, Asturias and currently lives in Madrid. In 2003 he became interested in digital photography. In 2011 he bought an iPhone 4 and that is where it all started. His talent has taken him to win second place for Photographer of the Year in the 2014 iPhone Photography Awards.
On our exhibition we present 7 photographs from the series ‘In shadow’. These pictures were shot and edited only with mobile phones, and were taken in Avilés, Madrid, London, Paris, Berlin and Toledo between 2014 and 2016. In this series we can see some black and white candid street photos, with a lot of geometry, strong sub-expositions and high-contrast lighting.

NURIA ESPUIS
The pictures we present on this exhibition belong to the series The City. She became interested in the environment around her and she started working on this project . She chose the Barcelona district 22 @. An industrial space located in the district of Poblenou became since year 2000 the district of innovation, offering modern office spaces where 4500 companies have settled since. This was a very important textile neighborhood and many buildings of that time still remain. The industrial past is fully integrated with super innovative, super modern, super colorists buildings like the Agbar Tower. In this series she wanted to show this union of the past with the present and that is why this neighborhood seemed ideal.
Nuria Espuis graduated in photography from the Institut d'Estudis FotogrĂ fics de Catalunya in 2015. She then specialized in photography of author in 2016 and in photography of architecture in 2017. She has been part of several national and international exhibitions and was finalist in the XXVII photography competition Premi Sant Jordi in 2015.
From an aesthetic point of view she wanted to go away from the grey, polluted and gloomy city and find the shapes and especially the colors that are given to us by the different lights of the day. The contrast of that sky when it is so blue, so celestial, with a red and a green... that contrast creates super-cheerful, super-dynamic images and that's what she wanted to achieve.

NACHO RIVERA
In his photographic projects he explores topics such as travel, the individual, globalization or religion. He always looks for common points that question the differences between cultures and societies, trying to promote empathy and respect for those who are not equal to us. In this exhibition he presents the project "Domine dirige nos". Domine dirige nos is a photo essay that relates, in a metaphorical way, the interaction between the two powers that have governed the destiny of the world over the last two thousand years: religion and money through urban landscapes of the city of London.
Nacho Rivera, (Madrid, 1977) is a documentary photographer based in London. He specializes in artistic portrait and analogue photography, takes commissions for music groups, actors or modelling work and runs workshops of creative photography in London.
From Monday to Friday thousands of executives run and shout in pursue of generating wealth. But the city of London becomes an orphan when the bells of the churches toll on Sunday and it is then just a desert of glass, concrete and steel. It is in this absence of human activity when he is interested in taking his photographs. Interestingly, the motto of the city in Roman times was "domine dirige nos", which is Latin for "Lord, guide us". This leads him to ask himself a question: will it be the "Lord" who inspires the decisions taken in the city of London?

JULIA EME Julia works different genres: drawing, painting, sculpture or photography. She works in visual arts to think and transmit ideas with an open language, yet full of intention. Her train of thought and emotions occur in images. On her work she tries to capture those images using different techniques. Most of her work questions established ideas concerning the city, power in the private as well as public spheres and the fragility of this barrier.
Julia is a young artist born in Madrid in 1989. She has a degree in Fine Arts from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and was finalist at this university’s XVI Young Visual Arts Prize in 2014.
The photographs we present at this exhibition belong to two series and have been taken in an industrial cemetery in Stuttgart and an abandoned building in Granada. They are places full of silence and oblivion. The artist feels attracted to what is discarded, negated or forgotten and reflects on our social actions, gentrification, planned obsolescence and the future of a global world.

DAVID IZKIERDO
In this exhibition we present photographs that are taken in his native district, Triana, or in his surroundings or its enclosed spaces, such as the market or the Plaza de Armas station. David is a photographer interested in the daily life, the external and inner life that accompanies his characters, or from a shorter plane, the texture and expression of their faces.
David Izkierdo was born in Triana, Sevilla, in 1981. His self-taught learning is later completed with studies in the laboratory of image and treatment of the Digital image Nestor Almendros of Seville. He has exhibited in several Spanish cities and in 2014 he was a finalist in the black and white modality of the I International Biennial of photography of the Sky Gallery Art of Barcelona.
As he explains "in my photographs there are messages, spaces and a background. There is an intentionality and in some cases the search for a certain personal minimalism. Each image is a latent memory that transports me back to the book I was reading at that time or that record I was listening to. There are symbols and an insistent and constant attitude of saying something with each one of them. I try to transmit sensations, find and give with those fleeting and unrepeatable moments that only the camera is able to capture and that is sensed for a few seconds before tightening the shutter... She moved to London 8 years ago. Here she has taken courses in urban photography and studio lighting and has taken part in various exhibitions and photographic contests. She loves travelling and exploring how people live. She likes to investigate daily scenes of local people and capture their essence in each photograph.
Irene is a young artist born in Madrid. Her father instilled in her a love for cinema, and since she first saw Alejandro Amenรกbar's Thesis, she wanted to become a filmmaker.
She declares herself obsessed by reflections in any object that is translucent, and by shadows, and loves exploring the effects of light on materials.
