About Guglielmo “Guglielmo Caffè”, created in 1943 by entrepreneur and member of the “Order of Merit for Labour Guglielmo Papaleo”, it’s today one of the most important companies of the South of Italy. The factory, that overlooks the beautiful Ionian coast of Copanello, not far from Catanzaro city, offers an image which is halfway between tradition and vanguard.

This company is conceived as a big family and represents an extraordinary example of efficiency and productive capacity. Guglielmo Caffè produces and commercializes its products for the domestic and HO.RE.CA channels. Over the years, the company has mixed up its know-how with the new methodologies of the coffee sector: this is the knowledge that Guglielmo aims to spread and consolidate personally to its customers, to privilege and protect the final consumer and to ensure him the quality and exclusivity that has always characterized this brand. Guglielmo Spa carefully chooses the different types of coffee imported, relying on qualified suppliers that can guarantee a consistent quality of the product. Green coffee, before being placed in the production cycle, is tested by specialists who carefully evaluate the organoleptic quality to ensure the aroma and taste of the blends produced. The company spread over 10,000 square meters, with modern plants, and has a production capacity of 3,000 ton per year. The production, that is realized from the raw material, is divided into four phases, from the cleanliness of the product from any impurities, to the roasting at 300 degrees, during which the beans, increasing in volume, release the aromatic ingredients essential to impart flavor and pleasantness; third phase is the mixing between the origins of arabica and robusta, to finally arrive at the ground and vacuum packaging, an essential technique to maintain over time the aroma and taste of coffee.

Our Winery The Lavorata Winery was founded in1958 by Vincenzo Lavorata.

The winery is situated in Roccella Jonica a town in the southern part of the Ionian Coast and close to the splendid “Stilaro-Allaro� valley in the Province of Reggio Calabria. This area is not far from the sea and the mountains. Because of the climate and the soil it is an excellent area for viticulture in Calabria and southern Italy. The family-run business is dedicated to the healthy, clean cultivation of their vines and a scrupulous and attentive selection of grapes and must. The ancient and deep link between wine making and the area, the passion and serenity of management have brought the company to increased production and recognition at high levels. The vineyards are situated in the hamlet of Nescilacqua in the area around the town of Riace and include the interior, the hills and the plains sweeping down to the sea. The same sea in which Tideo and Anfiarao the 5th century BC Bronze warriors were found.
