‘Chin Up’- Remain cheerful in a difficult situation. Buttercup (flower)- A flower that forms part of a childhood tradition. The ‘buttercup’ tradition; A flower is held under the child chin. Another person will then look; if there is a yellow reflection visible they will tell the child he/she likes butter. -The reflective qualities of the flower mean that on a sunny day when the flowers are blossoming everyone likes butter. But it is a nice interaction facilitated between the child and the adult; and the child genuinely believes the magic of the result.
