Cristina Guadalupe Galván (Canary Islands in 1979) is an architect and visual artist. She was raised in Barcelona and France and lived in Paris before moving to New York where she is now based since 2008. She is principal at Idée Fixe, a transdisciplinary studio of architecture, where she addresses social and cultural issues through critical thinking and media specific projects, including built objects, multi-media installations, video, photography and writing. She is the editorial assistant of architect and urban planner Denise Scott Brown, she also regularly collaborates with the contemporary culture magazine DAMn. Her works have been published and showcased in different art and architecture venues, including the New Museum (NY), Lincoln Center (NY), Center for Architecture (NY), Walker Art Center (MN), Herbst Theatre (SF), Shower room factory (Tokio), Centre D’Art Santa Monica (Barcelona), Foundation of Art and Design FAD (Barcelona), Kunsthalle Budapest (Hungary), IFA (Paris), etc
