With a comprehensive portfolio and a creative vision that unites functionality and sophistication, Cristina Jorge de Carvalho assumes the leadership of her homonymous atelier creating tailor made projects in the fields of architecture and interior design. Each project is designed as unique, having the client's personality and lifestyle, as well as the needs of the space, as its main inspirations. The common thread that defines all projects with CJC signature lies in the balance between clean lines and an intelligent game of volumes, materials and textures - An eclectic and contemporary approach that blends sobriety and comfort in harmony. Founded in 2000, the Atelier Cristina Jorge de Carvalho – Arquitetura e Design de Interiores signs award-winning projects that include private residencies, hotels, and high-end stores, among others. Some of the international awards granted to the Atelier include the Best Architecture Single Residence Portugal for the Algarve House project and the award for Best Hotel Interior for Europe for the Hotel Altis Prime project. Concurrently to the work developed by the Ateier Cristina Jorge de Carvalho – Arquitetura e Design de Interiores, Cristina Jorge de Carvalho designs exclusive furniture pieces where the refined luxury and clean lines of her projects come to life in objects that suspend the line between design and function. Her work is frequently published in international publication, including AD, Elle Decor, Nuevo Estilo, Marie Claire Maison, Belles Demeures, Metropolitan and Vogue. Cristina Jorge de Carvalho is a professional member of IIDA - International Interior Design Association and lives in Lisbon. .

Cristina Jorge de Carvalho is the founder and Creative Director of atelier Cristina Jorge de Carvalho Interior Design. Based in Lisbon, the atelier develops commissioned Architecture, Interior Architecture and Interior Design projects, in private residences, commercial spaces, hotels, offices, and SPAs, for both national and international clients. Atelier Cristina Jorge de Carvalho Interior Design’ signature projects transcend trends and are defined by its contemporary, timeless and unique design. Clean lines, volumes, a neutral colour palette and a fine selection of noble and natural materials are the essential elements of atelier’s unique and sober style. Known for their stunning interiors, all projects are specially made in order to achieve the exclusive clients’ desires and lifestyle, for whom all interiors and pieces of furniture are custom-made. Handmade in Portugal by the most skilled craftsmen, the pieces reflect the contemporary but timeless design that the atelier is known for.
