The Baijiu wine produced by Tuopai winery has in essence in water: in this area of Chengdou a spring was discovered and allows the production of the most traditional Chinese wine. From the legend, to nowadays, water is the key element of the production. The Spring Gateway, with a cantilever structure, is support by cascade inspired columns. It allows the collection of the heavy rainwater of Chengdu province into the column, which is then directed to a central water channel, inspired by the Qing dynasty design. The terrine of the wine is reused to break and direct the water in a dynamic landscape.

Bangkok Skywalk is an ambitious project of redevelopement of one of the most high-traffic intersection in Bagkook. The aim of the project is creating a pedestrian landmark in the city, through the use of sculptural canopies and iconic paving design. The canopies have been designed as a double laminated layer of glass, with OPV cells laminated in the PVB layer. During design developement and value engineering process the design has been simplified towards Fiber glass circular canopies, with water collection in the central spine. To iterate the local culture, artist sfrom Thailand have been invited to appropriate the canopy creating a Public Art perfromance and dialogue between architecture and art. The project creates a vibrant sense of arrival and experiencing an unique atmosphere. The paving, using Sphera Equipe circular ceramic tiles, is designed following a pointillisme technique of color coding and complex layout of 16 different gradients of colors, inspired to the infinite water variations of lotus ponds-from which Pathumwan name, ‘Lotus Pond’.

The noticeable progression running along the North South axis of the development site when extended into the wider urban context informed the strategy of our design. Historical, traditional, demographic and cultural influences were apparent from the Old City to the south through to the more developed residential areas to the north. Physical topographical changes and progressions through the landscape were abstracted to create the overall design narrative of a “surging landscape.” We envisage the site as a place that will continue to evolve and adapt without abandoning its rich landscape spectrums, where the site becomes a place that existing landscape elements are celebrated, and the future is promoted for the welfare of new generations.

TRANSITIONAL CORRIDOR OPEN AIR MUSEUM

Part of a extensive masterplan, Joy MArina use the geological geometry of the rocks to brand the new developement in Shunde, China. The transitional corridor connects the main axes of the marina with the entrance of the Shopping Mall, and in our vision break down to the human scale at the entrance. The bespoke paving in brushed and polished concrete, represent breaking of the rocks from the urban to the human scale, creating a unique perception while walking to the main entrance. The red floating canopies like leaves protect from the sun and create a filtered view, projecting colored shadows and overlapping their pattern to the paving, appearing as an element of urban interior.

Water is the key agent of our design for this new development in China, generating a reflection performance. Designing interlocking rooms, which create an intimate place in the landscape, our design aims to collect rainwater to create reflection pool and illusions. Six pavillons host different activities for the local community, allowing the appropriation of space: swings, small coutiard gardens, sunken plazas and arboretum. Challenging the climate of Shanghai, with heavy rainfalls, the landscape collect water and create unexpected reflections, with water planting to clean and purifying the ponds.

The most poetic lieu, the Arboretum, reflects the bonsai andthe different botanical species, exhibited as in a landscape cabinet of curiosities. The interlocking system of mirrored bricks, is the background of each tree, it breaks and multiply the visions. Mirror Lake use the sponge city concept and adapts it to a poetical vision of landscape.

CONTROLLED FLOODING LANDSCAPE In Courbevoie competition I had the role of Project Manager and design leader for MSP Team. Thr streetscape use a porous paving surface and rain gardens, the concept aim to generate the bed of the river in the raindays in Paris. The rooftop is an orchid of 100 trees ( column= 1 tree) with roof-like canopies and furnituresintegrated with the nature. I invested the role of Lighting Consultant, creating bespoke pole light and special features using Globes Projector with water inspired textures.

In the 20th century, the new symbol of modern society was to become Plastic. 7 types of plastic - to revolutionise the way we interact with the world, to build a new society. But as time and societal turbulence have taken a toll on six of the original Seven Wonders of the World, so has our perception of Plastic shifted from pinnacle to disaster.

We propose a large installation composed of 8 separate structures: 7 structures to represent each of the seven different types of plastics, and the 8th - to represent the new generation degradable plastic PHA, which from first glance may be perceived just as regular type of plastic, yet which is produced and performs completely differently. To create the artificial plastic ‘storm’ we would encourage people to bring their domestic plastic waste to the installation to contribute in creating the plastic ‘climate performance’. 7 pyramids. The seven types of different plastic are: 1.

The project is located in Henan province in the city of Kaifeng. The site is an abandoned grain storage for military use built in 1971. Is composed of Warehouses in the north, for productive use and lavoration of the crops and a below the ground corn storage in the south. The use of undeground storage is a common practice in Chinese culture in order to save agricultural land.

P E R F O R M AT I V E S PA C E The underground space is refilled with the corn grains that are used as structures and create a new kind of space interaction, respecting the identity of the space. Visitors can climb, play and collect the corn floor, changing his shape with their presence. More the piece of art is contemporary and distant from the industrial past, more the climb will be physical but will remind of the time that separate us from our past.

UNPREDICTABLE LANDSCAPE
The waterland is not just a mean to show the technical approach of soiless culture but it also has an indentity meaning: is inspired to the history of Kaifeng city and is closely link with the water source of the Yellow River. The waterland will on one hand represent the fertility of the water with the aquaponics system garden, on the other his destructive power with a controlled flood landscape.

The result of the border-lines overlap creates a crack in the ground, a tridimensional landscape that evoke the mine experience of descending in the earth. Moreover in the project the topic of exhausion is a key points: we created structures that allows the site to erose itself, and hiding new structures and space that will be visible once the exhausion has been reached.

POSSIBLE/IMPOSSIBLE LIFE The plates project will take all the site and no broken with interior and exterior, warehouse and building will not stop his spread. Also in the interior the space will not be divided, but underline the monumental status by keeping the open space solution in the top. an the foor the plates will create different space interaction. The main point of the industrial heritage are not only the open space but also the glass sheld roof, so we will divide the plates into life-possible plates, where the light arrives with a 45° angle, with a spontaneus plates garden where nature will take over, and areas where the natural light doesn’t arrive, will be artificially lighten and will be the relation and activity plates.

MEGALITIV CITY - ANDREA BRANZI ARCHIZOOM The project strart from the idea of a Megalitic City of the future. The city landscape is made by same volume different by shape, each of them with different function/activity. The Park(T)out is a towr for the parkour, made by two different element. One, the stone, allow people to climb the steructure and its linked to the stone-age idea. The other, metal panel structure, its light, smooth and allow people to make free running. All these elements are linked with a watherfall that produces different kind of sound, underlying the different origins of the two elements.
