My studies and work these past years have been focused on creating a contemplative landscape which evolves with time, showing an invisible prediction of the future. I started calling this practice Design the Unpredictable. My interest in this design language started in Italy, in close contact with the beauty of the ruin of the past, exhaling from our heritage. The decay of the modernity, in the post-industrial era, in the concrete brutalism, in the sprawl of the 80s, in the wasteland of our cities has been great source of inspiration for my work. This continued in China, where I discovered the unpredictable use of the space, the collateral activities in undesigned landscape, where a corner becomes a plaza and a sidewalk is a market. Throughout my work, I am able to transform iconic landscapes by introducing materials and solutions which degenerate in a poetic performance with time, interacion, and people Contact: cristinamorbi@designtheunpredictable.com
