Annual Report 2023 -2024
Dear Cristo Rey Boston Community,
I am filled with immense pride and joy in sharing the many successes we have achieved together throughout the 2023-2024 school year. These accomplishments are a testament to our community's strength, our students' resilience, and the unwavering commitment of our faculty and staff.
Our students continue to demonstrate exceptional academic growth and achievement. We significantly increased standardized test scores, with a notable rise in math and reading proficiency. Our Advanced Placement (AP) program expanded, providing even more opportunities for students to excel and earn college credit while still in high school.
We launched several new programs designed to enhance the educational experience and better prepare students for the future. The new STEM curriculum, which integrates cuttingedge technology and hands-on learning experiences, has already begun to show promising results. We also introduced a series of workshops focused on college and career readiness, equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to navigate their post-secondary paths confidently.
Our achievements this year would not have been possible without the dedicated support of our entire Cristo Rey Boston family. From our talented teachers and staff to our generous donors and engaged families, each community member has played a crucial role in our successes. We are particularly grateful to our corporate partners, whose ongoing support has provided students valuable work-study experiences and professional development opportunities.
As we look ahead, I am excited about the possibilities and opportunities that await us. We will continue to build on our successes and strive for even greater heights. Thank you for your unwavering support and for being an integral part of the Cristo Rey Boston story.
With warmest regards,
2023-2024

2023-2024 expanded the focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) curriculums. A gift from the Gaynor family expanded the science program, adding Advanced Placement Environmental Science and increasing career counseling on STEM careers. Grants from Boston Scientific and Moderna provided additional lab equipment and textbooks.
Partnerships with Massachusetts General Brigham, Tufts University, The Whittier Street Health Center, and Boston College Connell School of Nursing provided programs for students interested in STEM fields to access experiential learning that connects classroom to career.
An expanded focus on the college planning process provided increased opportunities for Cristo Rey Boston students in all grade levels. From college Information Sessions and College Fairs to opportunities to explore college campuses across the country, all students began to envision themselves as #collegebound
