DEPOT TERRACE PLACE Depot Terrace Place is a mixed use development that combines the private and public realm to create a walkable community that encourages multi-modal transportation where residents can live, work and play. As an extension of Downtown, it seeks to create a pedestrian centered community that meets as many needs as possible within close walking distance. It also seeks to complement the Park and create a low impact urbanized community that activates the streets, brings people together and increases quality of life. https://www.flickr.com/photos/15813219@N00/2050939612/

DEPOT SITE SYNTHESIS Formerly the Regional Transit System campus headquarters in the Power District of Gainesville, the site is located within a 15 minute walking distance from Downtown Gainesville and across from Depot Park. The city of Gainesville sought to expand it’s Downtown and urbanize the surrounding areas in order to create a connected city that creates a more livable and vibrant community. The site inventory, analysis and synthesis heavily informed the design as the lack of pedestrian access and public transportation and zoning led to the design of a multiuse neighborhood centered on the idea of circulation, connection, walkability and views.

CADES POND WETLAND PARK The concept behind this design was to create a tranquil seating and gathering space that captures the essence of the past landscapes and the first civilization who inhabited Gainesville, a people who lived in nature and transformed it, in order to educate and provide a gathering space where people can relax.
