An initiative to build the future of public media by strengthening the skills of newsroom leaders

Editorial Integrity and Leadership Initiative Applications are now being accepted for public media fellows for this highly interactive and individualized leadership training program. We will be filling openings for three sessions of 20 fellows each. One session is for new and emerging leaders currently working in public media who demonstrate the ability to play an important role in its future. Two sessions are designed for top newsroom and collaboration leaders who have the interest and ability to contribute more to pubic media in the years ahead. Editorial Integrity and Leadership Initiative Join others from across the country in a program designed specifically for public media leaders. Each group of 20 fellows will get personalized help developing their integrity and leadership skills. Fellows: • Receive a leadership profile based on feedback from a 360-degree assessment

session dates

• Attend a five-day session at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University in Phoenix, hearing from experts and exploring their leadership styles

Emerging and Beginning Leaders:

January 12-17, 2020 and April 26-27, 2020

• Develop a 100-day plan to move the newsroom and the fellows’ leadership styles forward

Advanced Leaders:

• Receive three months of personalized mentoring

April 26-May 1, 2020 and August 16-17, 2020

• Return to the Cronkite School for two days to report on progress and develop a long-term leadership and career strategy

August 16-21, 2020 and December 6-7, 2020
