Words from our Athlete I initially started CrossFit under a dare by my husband. A few weeks into it I thought “oh my goodness what have I done”. But I was able to work through it and in no time was completely enjoying my experience.

My time at Fever allows me to unwind and forget about the daily grind. At the same time, I'm with friends and family doing something I've come to love. Although there are many skills and exercises to master, little by little I know I'll get there. Dare I say that the wall balls, push-ups and sit-ups are getting easier? I finally got that hand stand push-up too. Even if it's only one at a time! And I'm desperately hoping for that pull-up to come along any day now! Crossfit Fever has given me a place to grow and learn for a better and healthier me.

I've learned to set goals for myself that include training and eating right.

This is one "fever" I'm glad I caught and I'm hoping it stays with me for continued progression and enjoyment. Amen to burpees!

ORDINARY BECOMES EXTRAORDINARY Doing a complete 180 in your lifestyle is hard but not impossible; Cindy Salvat is proof that you can do, and achieve all goals with consistency and tenacity but most of all with Passion and love. Cindy is our Female Athlete of the Month for March; with only Six months of hardcore FEVER training she has accomplished what might take others years.

You can find Cindy religiously Wodding with our 7:00 PM class, coming 30 mins early to observe Game Prep in order to learn and perfect the art of CrossFit . We think it’s safe to say that she she will be joining them soon. Cindy has also made a lot of sacrifices in the last six months to earn this spot, such as leaving work early every Thursday to make it to Yoga class or staying late till 10PM working on her dead hang pull ups. It’s her hard work, dedication, fellowship, but most importantly her love for Crossfit that has earned her this spot as athlete of the month for March.

Crossfit Fever has seen her hard work and dedication and would like to take this time to congratulate her on her progress.

Words from our Athlete

For me CrossFit is many things. It’s an outlet, a break for me, a sport, stress relief and most importantly a way to be<er myself. Every day I work out, I put my en?re being into it, mind and body. AAer prac?cing Kung Fu for ten years and then trying CrossFit, I was able to place a lot of my previous experience into it. In place of the fancy weapons, swords and knives however, I’m using barbells, dumbbells, ke<le bells or medicine balls. The difference for me is the intensity of the workouts. When I’m able to achieve a skill or movement and feel the effortlessness at that precise moment, it’s like Zen. That’s why I CrossFit.

I’ve always been one that tries to improve myself. I have many goals and goats. I know with ?me and effort and the guidance of the Fever staff, I will become be<er one day at a ?me. I am grateful to be a member of the Fever family and very apprecia?ve of the staff.

IN IT FOR THE LONG HAUL Rich has entered into a long term commitment with Crossfit Fever, he has been a member since 2010 and has upped his game by joining the Tailored Programs. The best words to describe him are: committed and over achiever. He trains very hard and is never afraid to give it all 120% of the time. You can always find Rich training with the “gamers” at 6PM, or before class during the Vega 45 minute warm up or wodding during the weekends. Rich is the type that is always asking questions and makes sure he does things right. He knows he has a long way to go but he doesn't shy away in asking and trying to get better.

Rich is nominated for Athlete of the Month because he is an individual that demonstrates values of hard work and dedication. He is a beloved husband and Father to two beautiful boys. He is a man of faith and believes in his values. Due to his work schedule and home activity he is left with very little time. But even then, Rich finds times to come and take care of business. Rich brings a great vibe to the box, a good feeling to have him around and to see him grow as an athlete.

These past few months, he has shown tremendous progresses in his lifts and strengths. He's eager for some more serious training. Rich is an exceptional human being that portrays many values that many men don't have. He earned the Spot of Athlete of the Month for March.
