Crossing Family, Many newcomers commonly ask us where the name “The Crossing” came from and what does it mean. This weekend we will be taking a look at where we have been as church, why we are called “The Crossing” and where we are headed! This is an exciting time in the history of our church and we are grateful that you are here to experience this journey with us. If you are new to The Crossing, this is a great time to get connected. In Him, Greg & Tamara Dumas

Crossing Kids For the month of April, Crossing Kids (babies through 5th grade) will be focusing on how young kids and children can strengthen their relationship with God. Preschoolers will learn that Jesus, wants to be their friend forever. For elementary age kids we will focus on prayer and teach them that when we talk to God through prayer, He is always listening.

Emerge JV/Emerge Prayer Focused Generation! We see a student ministry that is fervently praying. This month we will be teaching students all about prayer. They will be discovering the truths from their Life Journals and be challenged to pray fervently for their generation. We know that prayer changes everything! LIFEGROUPS Use the following as a resource for your LifeGroup to go deeper with this week’s message. We hope this helps you as you “do life together”. Opener: Have you ever had a mentor? Perhaps this person wasn’t some officially designated as your mentor, but someone you were patterning your life after even if they were unaware. What did you learn from this person? How did you learn it? If you’ve never had a mentor, what were the limiting factors? Fear? You might even answer that it never occurred to you to have a mentor. Digging Deeper: Read aloud Joshua Chapters 1 and 3. Do your best to put yourself in that very locale and situation. Ask yourself this question, “Would I follow Joshua?” You are going to have to dig, but what makes Joshua a leader worth following? How do all the references to Moses’ affect Joshua’s credibility? There is a connection to who Joshua himself has followed. Look also closely at Joshua 3:3 and 4. Is it Joshua whom the people are following or someone else? What do you make of the next two statements? Even leaders have leaders. In essence, you are not following your leader, but following whomever your leader follows. How does this affect the life of the church? How does it affect your life? Application: Connect: Warm-Up (April 25th) Grow: The Journey (Begins Weekend of May 1/2) Go: Serve – Live – Give (Ongoing) Have you done any of these? This is a time for testimony. How did God use any of these tools to impact your life or the lives of others? If you have not done some of these, make a commitment in front of your LifeGroup to get moving on towards the abundant life God has promised you.
