MARK DRISCOLL “Religious people mistakenly think that they are saving people from such things as a fruitless life, sinful sex, bad relationships, unholy humor, wayward churches, evil birth control, and what they call ‘strange fire.’ However, religion never saved anyone, and religious answers to complex questions are simply misconceptions.” MARK DRISCOLL

Mark Driscoll, known for his bold, in-your-face style of preaching and teaching, goes places others dare not go in Religion Saves: And Nine Other Misconceptions. Inspired by 1 Corinthians, in which Paul answers a series of questions posed by people in the Corinthian church, Driscoll set out to determine the most controversial questions among visitors to Mars Hill Church’s Web site. In the end, 893 questions were asked, and 343,203 votes were cast, and in Religion Saves Driscoll answers the nine questions receiving the most votes. In his responses Christians and non-Christians alike will find much to convict, to encourage, and to shock them out of complacency.
