THE ROYAL WEDDING PRINCE HARRY & MEGAN MARKLE Photos by Associated Press

THE STORY BEHIND THE VEIL Ch an dler Colclou gh The Royal wedding itself is widely important however, it is the anticipation of the gown and veil that keeps many viewers curious. On May nineteenth, two thousand and eighteen, millions across the world tuned in on their televisions to watch one of the most momentous weddings of the decade. The British royal wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The now Duchess of Sussex, graced the aisle of St. George?s Chapel in a pure white silk Givenchy dress designed by British designer Clare Waight Keller, along with wearing a stunning 16-foot long embroidered silk tulle veil, which had a secret personal touch in its design. The Kensington Palace tweeted the day of the wedding that the veil represented all 53 countries of Commonwealth upon Markle?s wishes. The floral embroidery framework of the unique flora of each Commonwealth country was also specially designed by Waight Keller. The Queen herself lent Markle a classic nineteenth century Queen?s Mary diamond bandeau tiara, which held the veil in place. Markle?s flower embroidered silk tulle veil was not the first to be worn in a Royal Wedding. In April 2011, the now Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton wore a soft ivory layered veil, with a flower hand-embroidered trim designed by the Royal School of Needlework. Similar to Markle, Middleton?s veil was also held into place by a tiara that was lent from The Queen. The tiara Middleton wore was a 1936 Cartier ?halo?tiara that was presented to The Queen by her mother on her 18th birthday. Both Markle and Middleton?s awe-inspiring bridal looks have been compared to their late mother-in-law, Princess Diana?s breathtaking 1981 wedding. Although, weddings throughout the 80s and 90s were all about laced bodices, poufy skirts, enormous veils and head pieces, Princess Diana?s bridal look exceeded this timeless fashion. Princess Diana?s historic ivory silk and lace gown was designed by Elizabeth Emanuel, who is an infamous British female designer, similar to the Clare Waight Keller, who designed Markle?s Givenchy?s bridal gown and Sarah Burton, who designed Middleton?s Alexander McQueen?s bridal gown. Diana?s gown had a 25-foot train, that was paired with a 153-yard tulle veil. Both of these extravagant bridal attributes have contributed toward why Princess Diana?s bridal gown is considered one of the most famous dresses in the world. To contribute toward the unforgettable bridal statement of Princess Diana, the tiara that she wore in her wedding to Prince Charles in 1981 was just recently worn by her niece, Celia McCorquodale weeks after the historic wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The ageless tiara, formally known as ?The Spencer Tiara,? is a family heirloom that has not only been worn by Princess Diana on her wedding day, but also by each one of her sisters on their wedding day. The details of the tiara include sophisticated flowers adorned with diamonds. The tiara itself dates back to the 18th century as a wedding gift to Princess Diana?s grandmother, Cynthia Viscountess Althrop. Despite the glorious moment of a royal marriage itself, the details of the royal bride?s gown and veil has grown to be equally as important. The level of significance to which a bridal look is represented, often catches the eyes of not just the fashion industry, but the world as well.

CROWNS MAGAZINE EXCLUSIVE bought out ? which caused us to move to Alabama. I knew it was now or never. At the age of 30, and after working 10 months with a cosmetic lab, Sheree Cosmetics was born. What floored me the most was that my father and husband saw the dream in my

It's been a dream of mine since I was a little girl to create a cosmetic line. I have two younger sisters, Brittany and Shannon, and practiced on them all the time. I was obsessed with cosmetics and how it could transform the face ? like an art. My grandmother was an oil-painter, so maybe I got my

artistic drive from her. Throughout my life, I went through college, obtained my Bachelor 's Degree in Psychology from Texas A&M, and obtained a job working in Human Resources, working my way up to management for a large company. During that time, I obtained my Master 's Degree in Human Resources Management from Louisiana State University. I got married, and my husband's company was

eyes and invested a ton of money in the company to help me pursue my dream. I'm forever grateful.

You r com pan y is ver y you n g ? on ly 9 m on t h s old ? an d it seem ed t o go f r om 0 t o 100 ver y qu ick ly ? it 's even on t h e r u n w ay, pagean t s, in h u ge m agazin es, an d on celebr it ies. Wh at 's you r secr et as an en t r epr en eu r ?

Building relationships is everything. Not the ones where you just want to make a sale, but true relationships and partnerships. Through these and always being authentic and honest helped propel the business faster. You never know who knows who. Always treat everything with kindness and respect. Also, I have to mention my amazing PR team who has really done amazing work for the brand. I deeply respect them so much. Wh at m ak es you r br an d dif f er en t f r om t h e r est ? When I was building the brand, I realized the cost of making amazing all-natural cosmetics was not what I thought it would be. With this in mind, I decided that I wanted to bring pro-quality cosmetics I would use behind the scenes in fashion shows or on celebrities as a make-up artist to everyone at home without a huge price-tag. Of course, in order to do that, you have to order in large quantities from the lab, which that is where my father and husband helped make this dream come true for not only myself and everyone who buys our cosmetics. I understand large companies have a lot of overhead with their mark-ups, but sometimes just a name on a label can cause a business to really up the cost of the products.

You seem ver y m ot ivat ed an d au t h en t ic w h en it com es t o you r br an d. Wh at does you r com pan y st an d f or ? We are very much about the luxury without the price-tag, of course, but also, we donate a lot to charity. We also stand for equality, female empowerment, and the ability to be yourself ? as well as dignity, beauty, and respect. In the future, as our company grows, we hope to give even more to charity and also empower women in their businesses to be successful as well. Ever yon e w an t s t o k n ow : Wh at is t h e cost of st ar t in g you r ow n cosm et ic com pan y? (Laughs) - well, if you want to start from scratch and do it the right way ? it's at least in the six figures. You also have to be aware that everything you make is going to go right back into the company, probably for the first 2-3 years. Expect to not make an income to start, and if you do, make it the smallest amount possible.

Wh at is on e t h in g you 'd lik e t o t ell w om en w h o w ou ld lik e t o even t u ally st ar t t h eir ow n com pan y? Always remember to be yourself and always represent your brand at all times. This not only is you, but also everyone

involved in it ? you must live and breathe it. It's not easy. It's 15- hour days without any days off. However, if you can dream it ? you can achieve it. Eventually, hard work pays off, and if you really want that dream ? you will do anything you can to reach it. Always push forward, even when you feel like you're failing. Sometimes the best things happen when you're feeling that way. Remember to build true, authentic relationships and utilize those to get to truly know people. You will never know where that can take you. Also ? remember that you are beautiful, you've got this ? and YOU were BORN to SPARKLE.
