Access courses

Would you like a degree, but don’t have the qualifications? Access courses are designed for people who left school without formal qualification. Our Access to Higher Education Diploma will give you the knowledge, skills, confidence and qualification you need to prepare you for study at university level. Education is open to all and we welcome applications from mature students.

Business Management and Law Computing Criminology & Psychology Health & Social Care Humanities Nursing Nursing & Health Sciences Science Social Work Sport Teaching in Primary Education

Financing your Access to HE course

An Access course is typically a one-year course and you may be eligible for an Advance Learner Loan through Student Finance England to cover your tuition fees.

Did you know?

Student Finance England will ‘write off’ any outstanding Advanced Learner Loan balances you owe for an Access to HE course once you complete a higher education course. This means you do not have to repay it.
