Company History


1881 - 1967

1881 • Xugezhuang Machinery Works founded and manufactured first steam locomotive in China named "Rocket of China." 1952 • Rolling Stock Manufacture Bureau and Rolling Stock Repair Bureau of MOR were established; together both companies managed 20 Factories. 1956 • Manufactured Model “Qianjin” (Model “Heping”) steam locomotive was created. 1958 • Locomotive & Rolling Stock Factory Bureau of MOR ,was established; it managed 20 Factories. Later the following year it was renamed to Industry Bureau of MOR. 1967 • The first metro car was manufactured.


1969 – 2000

1969 • Manufactured Model Dongfeng 4 diesel locomotives. 1985 • Manufactured Model Shaoshan 4 electric locomotives. 1986 • Reorganized to China National Railway Locomotive & Rolling Stock Industry Corporation, Managing 35 Works and 4 Research Institutes. 1990 • Manufactured Model 25A passenger coach. 2000 • Split into two companies, CNR and CSR.


2000-2010

2005 • Manufactured wagons with 70-ton and 80-ton loading capacity. 2006 • Manufactured 200 km/h high-speed train. 2007 • Manufactured 9,600kW electric locomotive. 2008 • Manufactured 4,460kW diesel locomotive and 350 km/h high-speed train. CSR listed. 2009 • CNR listed. 2010 • Manufactured 380 km/h high-speed train.

CRRC Corporation Limited, known as just CRRC (China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation) is a multi-billion dollar Chinese publicly traded rolling stock manufacturer, formed on 1 June 2015 with the merger of CNR and CSR. At inception it had 175,700 employees, and is the largest rolling stock manufacturer in the world. Its headquarters lay in Chang Chung, China with now more than 180,000 employees.

2015

CRRC Corporation was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and Hong Kong Stock Exchange. It was an important initiative for China's rail transit equipment industry to enhance the core competitiveness and create a world-class multinational corporation, as well as an important milestone in the rail transit development of China and in the world. In addition, it started a new journey for the internationalization of China's rail transit equipment industry.

2016

CRRC Corporation purchased 13.06% stake of China United Insurance Holding (Chinese: 中华保 险) from China Insurance Security Fund for CN¥4.455 billion. It also joint-owned Zhuzhou Times New Material Technology with parent company CRRC Group.


2017

Worldwide & Revenue CRRC Corporation Revenues in 2015 is USD 37.8 billion, ranking 266 on the Fortune Global 500 List. CRRC’s R&D investment is EUR1.408 billion, ranking at 96 onto the World Top 2,500 R&D Investors. CRRC Serves Worldwide from Albania to Zimbabwe providing Elertric locos,Diesel locos, EMUs, DMUs, Coaches, LRVs, Wagons, Railcars, Metro Cars, Components and so much more.


CRRC MA! Under a contract awarded in 2014, the CRRC plant will manufacture 284 subway cars for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, Boston's mass transit system 152 for the Orange Line and 132 for the Red Line. First delivery of the Orange cars is expected in March 2018 .

Mr. Liu Hualong has been serving as Vice Chairman of the Board in CRRC Corporation Limited since May 1, 2015. He previously was the Chairman of the Board, Vice Chairman of the Board, Deputy General Manager and General Manager of another company, and also Deputy General Manager in the Company's major shareholder.


CRRC’s MA Management Team Chairman & President Chuanhe Zhou 27 years of experience in all facets of the railway industry, President Zhou’s engineering expertise, knowledge of the manufacturing industry, and unique leadership abilities puts him at the helm of CRRC MA – the corporation’s first North American railcar company. Vice President Jia Bo has decades of experience in the rail industry joining CNR CRC in 1993 in various design capacities including Director of the Transit Vehicles Design Department, to design lead of projects in Beijing, Tiajin and Iran. Vice President Zhan has 17 plus years of management experience in marketing, corporate operations, and purchasing. Beginning his career in sales at CRRC Tangshan in 1989, Vice President Zhan rose through the ranks perfecting all aspects of corporate management leading sales team and managing departments.

Project Manager Mike Feenaughty He posses 28 years of experience in the railcar manufacturing business having successfully managed various projects throughout the United States. Noted achievements include oversight of the $330m WMATA 6000 Series Project, and management of the design/build and delivery of 60 Amtrak Surfliner rail cars ~on time and on budget. Human Resources Director Bill Perez A consummate professional with more than 25 years of experience in Human Resources and Labor Relations, Bill Perez excelled in transportation as the first Assistant Secretary of Transportation, Human Resources, for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts ~ MassDOT. Perez led the fifth-largest transit system in the country, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, (MBTA) with 10,000 employees and an annual budget of $1.8 billion.
