Special Feature – Against the grain

In this first 12 months we have built the foundations for our new business model - principally, we have formed a new executive team and focussed on capturing some early procurement opportunities provided by our increased scale.

Since their appointment, the new executive team has given careful consideration to optimisation of the efficiency of our back office and support functions. We advised you in July 2013 that Christchurch had been selected as the base for the company executive following an independent report on the location options.

The benefits arose from several areas of improvement – better buying, alignment of strategy and leveraging off the strength areas of both businesses, and through removal of duplication in business systems and resources.

We have since completed planning on how to best integrate our business systems and processes and we have now reached a position where we are sharing this proposal with our staff for their feedback and we have committed to report back to them on the outcome on Monday 17th March 2014. If this proposal is adopted, the changes will allow us to capture the merger benefits around these activities. These account for 42% of the total budgeted merger benefits, or more than $16 million net, over the first three years of the merged business. These changes will ensure our business support functions are optimised through best practice, enhancing our competitive advantage as the most efficient business in our industry.

An ancient plant that now only grows wild in a small area of China (but is cultivated around the world), ginkgo is being

Yet strangely, it does.

Graham decided there would be a market for ginkgo – not only in Asia but also in New Zealand. To boost initial sales, Graham sourced 2000 seedlings, which were brought back to plant on the Bay of Plenty property. The whole process has not been without its pitfalls. Graham says since those first plantings more than 20 years ago, there have been plenty of setbacks. From issues with grafting to learning on the job through lack of information, the trials and tribulations of being a ginkgo grower have been a sobering experience at times, while rewarding in others.

The idea to introduce maize to their corner of Otago came during a trip to Northland last year. While there, they drove past paddock after paddock, all full of maize. “We saw all these paddocks full of maize and we said it was a shame we couldn’t grow it down here,” Neil says. “It was real dry up there – but it has also been quite dry down home for a while as well. We traditionally wouldn’t get enough sunlight here – and we have plenty of frosts. But our coastal paddocks don’t get frosts and we decided to try and plant it in there.” Neil is quick to point out he is not the first person to bring maize

"It’s an exciting process, working on something that hasn’t really been done where I am, for a while at least." Because of the rush to get the crop in with enough time to beat the frosts, soil tests were left out and planting went ahead. An aggressive fertiliser programme helped the maize grow and the Wangaloa crop is on the up. “I’m quite surprised at how much it grows and in the past two weeks, it’s shot up to near my chin,” Neil says. “No pests or diseases seem to affect it down here, which is good. But the location down here is the big thing. We’re trying to give it as much chance as possible, so we’re thinking of putting some shelter belts in.” Neil and Jackie, who are based in Romahapa, both say they

Autumn - it’s tagging time

ORDER YOUR TAGS EARLY Autumn is a busy time in the tagging calendar for beef and deer farmers. To avoid inconvenience, the best advice is to order your tags early and to allow for a few spares to be kept on hand. Weaners, both cattle and dear, must have a minimum of a single NAIT tag when moving to sale. Tags must be applied before the weaner moves to sale. It is advisable to order and apply “birth type” tags for weaners. You can change the year code to the year of birth - this allows the number range to start at 1 each year. This provides an easy visible audit of animals tagged in that year and also provides the possibility of performing manual NAIT transfers. The most economical option for weaners moving to sale is the “FDX“ technology. Replacement females in both cattle and deer herds require a single NAIT tag to meet legal requirements within 180 days of birth or first movement. It's best to order “matching management” tag sets. These consist of a “birth type” NAIT tag, prematched and packaged, complete with a set of management panel tags. The panel tags can be ordered in any of ten colours and has the option of adding a property/ stud name. This is easy to order and can provide the following advantages:

Getting it right LAND DRAINAGE - COMMON MISCONCEPTIONS There are a number of common

system design and attendant costs. Smaller diameter pipe can be used, longer lateral runs are feasible and less open drains are required.

misconceptions surrounding how perforated land drainage pipe works. The chief one is, that the number,

friction, significantly increasing the flow capacity through the pipe, compared to a corrugated-bore pipe. The increase in flow is startling -

dramatically affects its performance. Hydraulic conductivity in a farm's soil can be affected by many things, including soil type, structure, land gradient and artificial

enhancement. However, the three most significant pipe performance criteria are:

 Pipe internal diameter – a larger

pipe is capable of removing more excess soil water than a smaller pipe. Utilising gravel backfill not only has the

will be full of water after approximately 3.5 metres, so no more water can enter the pipe. This is a direct correlation between mm2 inlet area of the holes and the cross-sectional internal diameter of the pipe. More holes does not improve land drainage.

 Punched (more rounded) holes

improves pipe performance – wrong. As above, the greater the inlet area, the shorter distance in which the pipe will become full of water - not the faster that excess soil water will be removed (this is determined smoothness). Larger holes may allow

as well as the pipe.

 Pipe gradient – the slope on which

a pipe is laid significantly affects the flow. The higher the gradient, the faster the flow and greater amount of water removed. Pipe gradients are determined by the outlet height

pipe can be laid on a flatter gradient, as can smooth-bore pipe of the same diameter, e.g. the minimum recommended gradient for 110mm corrugated-bore Novaflo is 1:400 (0.25 percent), while 110mm smooth-bore Nexus is 1:1,000 (0.1 percent). This can

incorrect. Soil is a matrix of soil particles, with the free draining water - that is water not held to the soil particles by surface tension - flowing though the soil. The “bridging” effect of this matrix across holes in the pipe allows water entry. Small slotted holes reduce silting, enhancing pipe performance and system longevity. Compliance - Repairs and Maintenance FARM FENCING Farm fencing is an ongoing chore but often at this time of the year there is a more concerted effort. It is important to factor fencing into an annual plan, rather than wait until an incident occurs. There is a wide range of reasons why farm fencing is carried out. These include: Boundaries Every farm has boundary fences that indicate exactly where the farm border is. These should always be constructed along a legally surveyed line. Licenced surveyors are the only people permitted to put in survey pegs, which determine the boundaries of your property. The Fencing Act 1978 is the legislation that governs obligations on a common boundary. Livestock control Farmers have a responsibility to ensure that livestock cannot stray onto public

Preventing access Under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 ‘isolation’ is one method of controlling farm hazards. Identifying hazardous areas on your site plan and informing staff and visitors is important and fencing off areas of danger such as swimming pools, farm ponds and manure pits is a ‘must’.

Travelling to the site

There are many types of farm fences but whatever the type, outlined below are some tips to help prevent injuries while fencing on your farm:

Keep the area tidy to avoid people tripping

Before you start Check that you have all the necessary tools and equipment before you set out and ensure that they are sharp and in good working order. Don’t let staff use any power tools, unless they have been adequately trained - and keep copies of training records.

So work slowly and methodically,

Make sure that you have a well-stocked first aid kit in your vehicle – just in case. Take a sun hat and sunscreen and a supply of water. Safety glasses and leather gloves should also be taken to avoid eye injuries and cuts to hands and fingers from rusty wire.

roads or neighbouring properties. Loose livestock on the roads can cause serious motor vehicle accidents and it is important that roadside boundaries are regularly checked to ensure that they are in good repair. Internal fences can be permanent or temporary and assist with

Fencing materials are heavy and you’ll probably be carrying them on the back of the farm ute or the quad bike trailer. When loading, lift carefully and don’t try to impress anyone with your lifting prowess. Make sure that tools and equipment are properly secured. Getting the job done over tools or wire and remember, most farm fencing injuries are the result of rushing the job and taking short cuts. especially when working with machinery. the management of pasture, crops and livestock. Management of land and waterways Fences are important for the conservation of native vegetation and preventing livestock from accessing and fouling fragile river habitats and waterways.

NUTRITION

Farmlands Nutrition SOUTH ISLAND OPERATIONS The acquisition of NRM was a major step forward for Farmlands Nutrition in 2013 but in terms of the South Island, it is very much a case of business as usual with the continued focus on our tried and trusted brands and mills. Farmlands Nutrition’s South Island operation has evolved over many years, through the long established and respected Reliance Feeds and McMillan Equine brands. Larger scale feed manufacturing followed acquisition of the Winton Feed Mill in 2008. The new, purpose built mill at Rolleston was commissioned in 2009 and hosts both a compound feed and textured feed plant. Rolleston is the main hub for bagged products and boasts a robotic pallet stacker, which is far easier and faster than hand-stacking pallets. Large scale animal feed production is a multi-task operation. Raw materials have to be procured – Reliance Feeds only uses New Zealand

large volume dairy and calf feed users helps to procure raw materials and plan production relative to requirements. Processing raw materials to enhance their utilisation – and blending them together in precise formulations relative to the needs of the class of stock they are intended for – is a key advantage of manufactured compound feeds over straights. Pelleted feed is made by hammer milling the constituents, mixing them together and then forcing them through a pellet press under temperature and pressure. This forms homogenous pellets, with size dictated by the diameter of the holes in the press. Size really does matter, so small (4mm diameter) pellets are favoured for poultry feeds, 6mm pellets for dairy and calf feeds and 10-12mm nuts for feeding on the ground. Additives have to be fed at precise amounts, so we understand the need to customise products to the individual need of herds

The Reliance feed team includes Technical Feed Specialists, who work closely in the field with Technical Field Officers working out of the same Farmlands stores the bagged product is sold from. In many cases, shareholders have a long standing relationship with TFOs and store staff and can be confident that feeding solutions will be offered that strengthen that relationship. As part of a co-operative with a very large and diverse shareholder base, Reliance Feeds aims to manufacture the feeds our shareholders require. Product diversification helps improve the efficiency of the mill, by complementing the seasonally peaking requirements of the dairy industry and challenging product development to look for new and innovative feeding solutions. and Seed, which sources grains from shareholders. Straights such as soya bean meal and molasses, which are not produced in New Zealand, are purchased from importers to create compound feed that is nutritionally sound and palatable – feed must be eaten if it is to be effective. As demand for compound feeds has risen, the logistics of procuring, storing and transporting raw materials and finished products has increased considerably. Forward contracting

Autumn supplement feeding of dairy cows Rather than just a cruise to the finish line, autumn is increasingly seen as a crucial period, not only for the current season but for preparing cows for the season ahead. The cooler, damper conditions over Christmas, which played havoc for holidaying campers, was welcome relief for many cows, helping to reduce heat stress and lift both the quality and quantity of grazing. Meeting this season’s production targets can be as much about maintaining milk production and days in milk as peak production, so many farmers would have been relieved when the rate of fall in milk production stalled and in some cases reversed. Focus increasingly now turns to cow condition at drying-off and calving, the risk being that increased milk production now will come at the expense of decreased cow condition. In practice it is difficult to feed cows over winter to gain more than 0.5 BCS, so with a calving target of BCS 5.0 for older cows and BCS 5.5 for heifers and young cows, feeding

for both milk production and weight gain in autumn is beneficial. The higher protein and lower carbohydrate content in autumn grass is good for milk production but supports lower rates of weight gain than supplements rich in carbohydrates (e.g. maize silage, cereal silage, grain and grain-based compound feeds). To some degree, milk production drives appetite. By maintaining milk production at a higher level, pasture utilisation can be maintained and can be complemented by feeding supplements rich in carbohydrates (starch and sugar), which can help support weight gain. If possible, lighter cows can be put in one herd and preferentially fed or milked once per day, to help establish a better balance between what they are consuming relative to requirements. Compound feed pellets offer a convenient, reliable way to increase energy intake throughout autumn, with the added bonus of major minerals like calcium (to help replenishment of bone reserves) and trace elements, with the option to include magnesium

It makes sense both biologically and economically to feed cows better in late lactation, rather than try to gain condition over the winter or dry them off early and lose valuable milk production prematurely. Whereas milking cows need 50MJ ME/kg live weight gain, dry cows need 72MJ ME/ kg live weight gain – another 44 percent more energy for the same gain. In addition, dry cows need a lot more silage than grain to gain weight, so when feed out losses are taken into account, it makes sense to use low-waste in-shed feeding systems to feed for production and weight gain whilst cows are milking, than supplement dry cows with silage for weight gain. After all, protecting your competitive advantage makes sense, right? Well not in the case of Brent Fisher, who is only too pleased to share the results he’s seen on his sheep, beef and cropping operation at Lake Ellesmere, Canterbury. Because Brent believes something this good deserves to be shared.

Brent Fisher was clearly up for a challenge when he purchased 512ha on the margin of Lake Ellesmere in Canterbury twelve years ago, followed by another 400ha across the road on the Banks Peninsula hills nine years later. Brent says, “The main property was developed out of gorse and rushes. Improving it has been a continuous process. Hybrid ryegrass provides speedy recovery from drought Using undersowing to restore thin pastures weakened by prolonged dry conditions is often described as a race between the farmer and the arrival of weeds. Success depends on picking the right paddocks, sowing seed as quickly as possible and using the right cultivar. A fast establishing, fast growing hybrid ryegrass from Agriseeds has ticked all the undersowing boxes for many farmers after last season’s drought and on one Waikato farm, it has performed so well it may become the future pasture of choice - regardless of what the weather brings. Shogun hybrid ryegrass is ideally suited to undersowing for several reasons, according to Agriseeds Pasture Systems Manager Graham Kerr. "Shogun is fast out of the ground, with exceptional DM yield through the all-important winter and early spring.

Graham says its unique mix of features means Shogun’s use in undersowing is not limited to drought recovery. Claudiu Vasinca, who sharemilks 500 cows at Pukeatua, agrees. He says with the way Shogun has performed so far, it is shaping up as a better tool for annual pasture improvement than perennial ryegrass, drought or no drought. Claudiu undersowed 13.5ha of Shogun late last March. It was a recommendation from his LIC Farmwise consultant that was endorsed by the team at Farmlands Te Awamutu. Ten per cent of the 150ha System 3 farm that Claudiu sharemilks is routinely sown in new pasture every year, via grass to grass renewal in autumn - but last year was different. The drought meant some paddocks needed an extra boost to ensure feed was available for winter and early spring, so Shogun was used instead of a perennial and there was no spray out,

because Claudiu didn’t want to kill any existing pasture that was left. Those paddocks quickly went from little or no growth to ample cover, to the point where he cut silage off them in mid December. “It’s growing well and the cows like it. There’s something different about that one – they always clean it up.” By undersowing Shogun instead of sowing perennial ryegrass, he says another 5 percent of the farm’s land area could be renewed every year, taking the annual total to 20ha. “We could cover more ground and that would be good. Grass is very important to us. We don’t feed PK or crops, just grass silage made on the farm plus maize silage in autumn and winter to fatten the cows.” For more information, please talk to your local Farmlands representative today. Article supplied by Agriseeds

Undersown, it typically persists for two to three years. “In post-drought situations like last autumn, when it's so important to restore pasture productivity as soon as possible, Shogun helped many farmers get back on their feet in time for spring and the start of a new season.” “The other advantage for this situation is Shogun’s NEA endophyte. It gives it good black beetle control, so it stops the build up of this voracious pest. Annual or Italian ryegrass without endophyte, on the other hand, are a preferred feed of black beetle.”

Pasture diversity great for growth GETTING IN EARLY FOR SPRING

Fairlie dairy farmer John Wright farms 1,900 cows and had been sowing late heading ryegrasses for a number of years. Recently, John has become focused on dry matter production earlier in the spring - the window between September and October. This time of year is important, as pasture growth is generally not meeting cow demand and every kilogram of feed bought in is expensive. John, working with Farmlands TFO Scott Tomlinson, set about trying to find mid-heading ryegrasses suitable for providing the earlier spring flush he needed to balance his feed demands. Request is Agricom's latest perennial ryegrass release. Compared to stable mates One50 and Prospect perennial ryegrass, both of which are late flowering, Request has an earlier spring flush (two to three weeks) and subsequently generates more feed in late September and October. What Scott and John also like about Request is how leafy it becomes through summer, returning to high quality pasture at a time John is trying to maintain milk production.

we would finish only 20 to 30 percent,” Andy says. Two-year-old bulls had exceeded a target of 2kg a day and after putting on 2.5 to 3kg a day were all sold before Christmas and another impending dry spell.

To define the palatability of grass, which may or may not be due to its taste, plant scientists have devised a digestibility value, or D-value, which is a measure of the amount of organic drymatter in the plant as a percentage of total dry matter.

‘Te Roto’ was among farms visited by Welsh plant breeder Dr Pete Wilkins, who was a leading developer of Aber grasses (at Aberystwyth) to combine palatability with good yield and strong persistence.

It’s likely to become a significant measure for farmers and at least three research trials are underway comparing the nutritive value of grasses in New Zealand.

“Palatability is a debatable topic. But if the animals like the grass then they eat a lot more of it,” Pete says.

Farmers looking to ramp up productivity for the long term, like Wairarapa hill farmer Andy Renton, are already using higher D-value pasture to change how the farm is run. “The Aber (high sugar grass) has raised the bar for us to the next level,” says Andy, a Ballance Farm Environment Award winner in 2007 who has successfully transitioned his 936ha (780ha effective) ‘Te Roto’ farm from rearing store stock, to growing them to finished weights. “Their grass intake is a lot higher on the Aber and that enables a higher growth rate. It’s given us an extra 10 percent on our farm surplus,” Andy says.

Impressed by the liveweight gains recorded by Andy and the bulls being so quiet in Aber paddocks, he says the pasture’s digestibility is the key measure. “You have this twin benefit of greater intake and greater utilisation of the grass that is eaten.” Meanwhile, the “nutritive value” of ryegrass varieties is being measured in plot trials by Dairy NZ for the seed industry and this value will be added to a Forage Value Index that ranks grasses (but is currently limited to dry matter yield).

AberHSG wholesaler Germinal Seeds NZ Ltd has a plot trial being conducted by Plant Research NZ Ltd to compare the D-value of AberHSG varieties and other ryegrasses – the first year’s results show the AberHSGs having a consistently higher D-value that is more significant in summer and autumn. The diploid perennial AberGreen is 6.6 D-value units ahead of a standard diploid perennial in both February and March – the difference translating to a potential extra gain of 1.7L of milk per cow per day, or 264g of extra beef, or 170g of extra lamb per day. A third trial being run by AbacusBio for Alliance Group and Germinal Seeds is comparing the weight gain of lambs grazing either AberHSG pasture or a standard ryegrass on three farms in Southland, over two years. | Andy Renton (left) and plant breeder Dr Pete Wilkins take a close look at AberMagic pasture where lambs and bulls are growing to finished weights.

He began the transition eight years ago, by buying grass seed from Farmlands Masterton and sowing a trial paddock of AberDart, a perennial variety of Aber High Sugar Grass (AberHSG). Now the entire 40ha of river flat is in perennial AberDart and AberMagic. “In spring and early summer our lambs are achieving liveweight gains of 350 grams a day and that allows us to finish 70 percent of them, whereas in the past

Cocksfoot - a grass species with a bright future Seed Force Southern South Island Territory Manager Liam Donnelly has been a fan of cocksfoot as a persistent grass option for a long time. Here, he gives us an insight into why new generation varieties from the world leading breeder of cocksfoot, RAGT, should be an option on many New Zealand farms. "I keep asking myself, why are farmers so down on cocksfoot? I think a lot of it goes back to earlier breeding programmes and the management of cocksfoot. Breeders were generally only looking at persistency and perhaps disease tolerance. Farmers were told to put it on their hardest country and in time they felt it ran over their ‘better’ species and the stock didn’t like to eat it. These stories have been passed down from generation to generation and it is amazing the negativity often shown toward this species."

“In dryland situations, cocksfoot is the most productive and persistent grass species that you can select. But as Professor Derrick Moot states, it needs nitrogen fixed by clover to remain palatable. Most areas where cocksfoot is traditionally sown is hill country and the economics of bagged nitrogen dosen’t stack up well. So it’s important that a suitable companion legume is used. Subterranean clover has fantastic attributes in this scenario,” Liam says.

released SF Greenly in New Zealand from

“Seed Force is at the forefront of bringing new cocksfoot genetics to the New Zealand market place. We are involved with world leading plant breeders, RAGT, where new generation cocksfoots are held in high esteem. They also use them in tough sites but are generally looking to use the species for high production systems on a long term basis. So for this to be practical, the varieties obviously need to be robust but also maintain high quality when the plants are at advanced growth stages. Seed Force has

in their pastures. Generally 5 - 6kg of SF

this programme and the feedback has been very positive. A common comment across the country is how well utilised and how palatable SF Greenly is. This is something many have not been expecting, as they have had experience with the cocksfoot of old. "Already a number of dairy farmers are using high rates of SF Greenly cocksfoot in their mixes, to support longevity and production Greenly, with 10 - 14kg of ryegrass, is proving to be successful in dairy situations. Cocksfoot remains productive when farmers are crying out for feed in dry conditions and their ryegrass has wilted and dried off. Nitrogen is important, so clover and strategic use of solid fertiliser will be integral. Nitrogen has been shown to be more important than irrigation to maximise cocksfoot yield. A key point for those looking to use SF Greenly as a major component of pasture species, in extensive dry environments, is to control spring growth with high stocking rates. It is good to let it have a spell and then tidy up in late summer to promote longevity (like lucerne). The tidy up will promote good seedling regeneration from your sub clover,” Liam says. Affordable frost fighting A proven and affordable frost fighting option is now available. Designed and made in New Zealand, the Tow and Blow is a portable wind machine that will protect four or more hectares of crop. The actual area protected is difficult to quantify with wind machines of any kind, as the severity and type of the frost will impact performance.

than happy with the performance. They particularly like the ease to setup and the fact that the machines are portable. The machines are mounted on their own trailer and can be parked in a shed when not in use. For lease blocks they are ideal, as they do not become part of the property handed

The lower capital outlay required on a Tow and Blow, coupled with greatly reduced running costs compounded over several years, puts the Tow and Blow at less than half of the cost of a standard tower wind machine.

push with the natural cold air drift on a frosty night, rather than push against it. That is why a 360 degree rotation is not recommended. A lot of work has gone into assessing noise impacts for the Tow and Blow. Malcolm Hunt Associates (acoustic experts) recorded noise levels at only 45 to 50 dBA at 300 metres. These noise levels are so low that neighbours are unlikely to be upset and their approval is not required for the use of this machine. The portability of these machines means no installation cost is incurred and no trees, vines or crops need to be moved for installation, re-fuelling and servicing. Fuel efficiency is a further consideration, which really sets these machines apart from other frost fighting machines. Tow and Blows will use only six litres of fuel per hour. Such efficiency makes these the most economical wind machines on the market. The level of performance of the Tow and Blow has been made possible because an impeller encased in a bell mouthed shroud or duct is used, rather than an open fan. The shroud enables the impeller to act like a turbofan or vortex, increasing the velocity of air exiting the fan. Efficiency has been further enhanced with the addition of straightening vanes on the exit side of the impeller. These take the spiral out of the airflow, which reduces turbulence and increases performance.

FARMLANDS FUEL

Farmlands Fuel Accessorise with Farmlands Fuel Finding the right accessory for your fuel storage system is an integral part of the ongoing maintenance programme for your storage tank. Picking the right accessory, or upgrading and replacing faulty accessories not only ensures your fuel system is continuing to work at peak performance, it also ensures a safe working environment for you and your staff. Legally, Farmlands Fuel tanker drivers are not allowed to deliver your fuel if they find themselves in an unsafe situation. “Unsafe situations” are not solely limited to the tanks themselves – faulty nozzles and hoses could also compromise the 'safety status' of your site. Farmlands Fuel supply a range of accessories, to help shareholders keep on top of tank maintenance and upkeep. A range of meters, pumps and pump kits, filters, nozzles, hoses, battery kits and locks are available, with a focus on quality and ease of use. If missing fuel has been a worry, there are options to combat thefts from your storage tank. Locking handles and caps are available to add more security to the point of delivery, while Farmlands also has game trail cameras in-store, if you want to catch the perpetrators red-handed. If accuracy of fuel delivery is an issue, Farmlands Fuel offers both flow meters for diesel, petrol and oil, as well as electronic flow meters. If you want to know more about the wide range of accessories that can complement your fuel delivery system, have a chat to your local Farmlands Fuel Territory Manager, or call 0800 666 626.

REAL ESTATE MARKETING In the last edition, I covered presenting and preparing your property for sale. The next step is planning an effective marketing and promotional campaign, as these elements are essential to achieving a successful sale. Firstly to enable potential buyers to notice your property above all the competition, you have to let them know it’s for sale. This is where a strong marketing plan comes into play, which not only publicises your property but gives people a preview of your property before inspection. Professional Photography - you only get one chance to make a great first impression. It’s an old saying but a good one, “a picture is worth a thousand words”. Good photos are essential to present your property to the market in the best possible light. Your salesperson should be able to get some great images but if you want to go the extra mile, you could consider engaging a professional photographer. Aerial photos, in some situations, provide a great overview.

Websites - many buyers will see your property in print then will research further information using the internet. It is essential to provide as many details as we can. We also include a gallery of additional photographs and references to local services e.g. schools and amenities that may prove attractive to potential purchasers. Brochures and Information Memorandums - your salesperson in conjunction with our marketing team will collate all information in order to produce professional marketing material suitable to your property. Combining presentation, preparation and marketing all contribute to achieving the desired result - SOLD. Please contact me if you require further information or have any questions.

For Sale Sign - believe it or not, one of the best marketing strategies is probably the cheapest. By placing a sign on your property, you let anyone driving by know that your property is for sale. Even if you live in a quiet area, a passerby may notice the sign and tell someone they know who is looking to buy.
