Regional Conference Highlights
March 14-18, 2019 kicked off Central Regions 78th Conference. Twenty- eight undergrads joined the region on this historic journey. The undergraduate events were planned by UCC Marshall, YSC McGee, The Collegiate Ambassadors, and The Undergraduate Concerns Committee. Events included Undergraduate Chat 22 and a stroll and step clinic. Collegiate Ambassadors gave reports on what they have been working on this year at the opening session.

Undergraduate Spotlight
Congratulations were also extended to Soror Gbala who received the East St. Louis NPHC’s 2019 Outstanding Collegiate Greek Leader Award.
Soror Vanessa Johnson has been seving Sigma Gamma Rho for five months. She serves as a member of Pi Upsilon at Xavier University in Cincinnati Ohio. She is a senior marketing major. She recieved the NPHC Standard of Excellence Scholar winter semester (GPA 3.7) and a superstar member of Xavier's women's track and field. She is also CEO of a non profit called Banners for Hope that works to unite the community and police officers.
Alpha Chapter Basileus, and class of 2019 graduate, Kayla Long was recognized as one of the TOP 15 Outstanding Students as well as the Graduating Senior Award for Spanish by Butler University. She currently holds a 3.84 GPA.

The Sorors of Gamma Beta Chapter work hard to demonstrate scholastic excellence and to make an impact on the NPHC Community. We congratulate them on a job well done! -Soror Shanice Davis won the Emerging Leader Award & Neophyte of the Year Award. -Soror Naja Gbala won the Outstanding NPHC Leader of the Year Award. -Basileus Kamariah Lewis won both NPHC Chapter President of the Year & NPHC Council Officer of the Year Awards.
