WHAT'S YOUR CUISINE?
WHAT'S YOUR CABIN?
1. WHAT’S YOUR DESTINATION? It's a big world out there… and cruising offers a broad range of destinations to choose from. Whether you are travelling with your family, or as a couple, or in an incentive group, the cruise opportunities span the globe.
FAMILIES
ROMANCE
Cruise vacations appeal to all age group and that is why they are so popular among multi-generation families. They're also one of the best value, convenient and hassle free vacations possible!
There's something about the sea that lends a romantic air to any vacation. Maybe it's the fact that you and your better half can sail off into the sunset night after night, or maybe it's the ability to discover multiple locales while enjoying intimate meals, couples spa treatments and spacious cabins.
Families are well taken care of on a cruise ship. Today’s large ships have kids clubs, babysitting services, and all kinds of activities for all ages, including spas and golf driving ranges for mum and dad, to swimming pools for all the family. The best routes for families are: Alaska, Bahamas, Caribbean, Greece & Turkey, Western Mediterranean, Nansha and Singapore.
Whether you're sailing to celebrate a honeymoon, an anniversary or just a few days of alone time, you'll find the romance you're seeking in: Alaska, Bermuda, Caribbean, Hawaii, Antarctica, Croatia, Greece & Turkey, River Danube, River Rhine, Western Mediterranean, Seychelles, Tahiti & Bora Bora and Nansha.
MATURE CRUISERS
INCENTIVES
Since mature travellers are usually better travelled, and have more time and money at their disposal, they tend to take purpose built small and mid-size ships that visit exotic ports and have more interesting itineraries.
Increasingly, meeting planners are looking out to sea and onto global rivers in search of the best venues for corporate meetings, incentive travel, and conferences. So what’s the draw? The main benefits for the incentive sector of going the cruise-ship route are state-of-the-art facilities, value for money and the allure of traveling to multiple destinations!
Some of the top destinations for older cruisers include: Alaska, Hawaii, Across South America, Galapagos, Antarctica, Arctic, Baltic Sea, Coastal Norway, North Pole, River Danube, River Rhine and Nansha.

4. WHAT’S YOUR ENTERTAINMENT? BROADWAY MUSICALS From "Rock of Ages," playing on Norwegian Breakaway, to "Legally Blonde," on Norwegian Getaway, and "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" on Norwegian Epic, Norwegian has a choice of award-winning broadway musicals on board it's ships. On Disney, your favourite films are brought to life with Broadway-style performances that include Disney's Aladdin, Toy Story, and the Rapunzel-inspired Tangled. Crystal offers two new productions aboard Crystal Symphony, including "Rocket Man: A Tribute to Elton John" and high-energy, genre-spanning dance production "5-6-7-8."
DINNER THEATRE "Cirque Dreams & Dinner" is performed on various Norwegian ships, interspersing dinner courses with music, aerial performances and acrobatic feats. On Norwegian Getaway, the Illusionarium brings together dining, magic and illusion, with a series of magicians performing special effects under a planetarium-style projection dome.
STAND-UP COMEDY Featuring Chicago-based comedy troupe, The Second City, Norwegian's ships offer various early-evening family shows and late-night sets for the 21-and-older crowd.
LIVE MUSIC Norwegian Getaway offers the GRAMMY Experience, with live jazz and R&B performances by past Award winners and nominees. Silversea offers a lovely mix of performances, including "Musical Maestro," a tribute to operatic arias and classic music, recorded by London's Royal Philharmonic Orchestral and "Mind the Gap," highlighting music from British Invasion acts like The Beatles and Rolling Stones.
CHARACTER MEETS On Disney, kids can a laugh with Goofy or a hug with Snow White during character breakfasts. Come dinnertime, Disney's Animator's Palate dinner show brings animated Disney character sketches seemingly come to life.
ENRICHMENT Through Crystal Cruises’ Creative Learning Institute, you can learn skills in language, music, wellness and art from instructors associated with famous names like Berlitz, Yamaha and the Cleveland Clinic. Past lecturers have included Sir Roger Moore, and Archbishop Desmund Tutu, amongst others.
NATURE Expedition ships offer up-close encounters with wildlife and venturing into the heart of remote wilderness areas! Onboard the Hurtigruten ships, watch nature's own theatre unfold above you as the most spectacular light show takes centre stage: The northern lights with you in the front row. Or experience everything Spitsbergen has to offer, from polar bears and walrus to spectacular scenery in the Antarctica.

5. WHAT’S YOUR CUISINE?
FAMOUS CHEF'S / MICHELIN STAR DINING Crystal displays the unforgettable level of detail that you have learnt to expect from Crystal. Nobu's Silk Road is a standout, and the the sushi bar never fails to impress. Prego is easily one of the best Italian restaurants at sea,run in partnership with Los Angeles-based Piero Selvaggio of Valentino fame. Oceania has catered to food lovers as a driving principle. Activities include a cooking school with 12 individual hands-on stations, as well as visiting chefs and market tours. The eponymous Jacques Pepin restaurant on Oceania serves classic bistro fare.
RANGE OF CHOICES Norwegian's freestyle cruising inspired ships have a wide range of restaurants. Foodies will love the 21 dining venues on the Norwegian Epic, or 28 dining venues on the Norwegian Breakaway, including three restaurants by Next Iron Chef winner Geoffrey Zakarian. Disney's Rotational Dining system means that rotate among the three themed restaurants - it's fun to move to a new setting nightly, while your waiters follow you. And the soon to be launched Genting Dream will have more than 35 restuarants and bars that encapsulate the very best flavours from around the world!
INDIAN CUISINE Star Cruises leads the way, with dedicated Indian dining available on board. Mostly all the ships on the Norwegian fleet also offer Indian choices by default. Crystal's ships also have Indian chef's onboard, who can cook up delicacies of your choice, while Silversea even allows guests to specifically request Jain food. And Indian guests onboard Lueftner have been delighted with some very interesting India-inspired cuisine onboard.

6. WHAT’S YOUR CABIN? Quite simply, there are 4 types of cabins on most cruise ships:
Suite: Larger cabin, sometimes with a separate room, and often with a bathtub or Jacuzzi
Balcony/Veranda: Cabin has a door opening onto an outdoor space where you can take in the sea breezes
Outside: Ocean views through a closed window or porthole
Inside: No view
First thing to consider when choosing a cruise ship cabin is location. For those who love the sun, an upper desk cabin is recommended, as they are near to the pools and sun desk. If you easily get motion sick, choose a more midship location. For older guests, consider a cabin near the elevators. And ďŹ nally, when going on a cruise through some historic locations or with natural beauty, strive for a cabin that provides view to the land, not to the sea. The next thing to consider is the cabin size. For those who spend most of their time in public areas, the size of their cabin is not a huge problem. But for those who intend to stay in the cabin for long hours, or are going on longer cruises, size will matter a fair bit. To get a sense of the size, use the following guideline - 120 sqft (cramped), 170 sqft (midsize), 220 sqft (spacious), 270 sq ft (suite sized).
