The Best in the World!
BEST WELCOME IN THE WORLD In 2013, Cruise the Saint Lawrence and member ports of call adopted a Greeting Policy, our aim being to ensure that we achieve our vision of becoming the destination that provides the ‘Best Welcome in the World’. This policy will be implemented over the coming years with a view to consistently enhancing passenger and crew experience. Member ports of call are therefore hard at work fine-tuning greeting infrastructure, honing customer service and innovating in the matter of visitor greeting operations. Accreditation for the 9 ports of call is anticipated for 2016.

In 2008, Québec’s Ministry of Tourism, together with Canada Economic Development, launched a Strategy for the Development and Promotion of International Cruiseshipping. As a result, the largest tourism development initiative of the decade was set in motion, the object being to enhance aggregate tourism revenue in Québec while boosting the economies of a number of specific regions. This strategy has proven a success for the cities, towns and regions in which our 9 ports of call are located. The primary aim of our strategy was to boost tourism in ports along the Saint Lawrence and results to date are telling. Passenger numbers have risen by 100% and economic impact has doubled in the space of just 5 years!
