This past summer, the National Jamboree was held at the Summit Bechtel Reserve. A few of the Central Region Area 5 officers got to attend this amazing event, and they had an amazing time. Some of the events that were held included skateboarding, BMX, scuba diving, STEM Exploration, and countless other activities. All Venturers and international scouts stayed in Foxtrot Base Camp, and even though it was a far walk, it is the only base camp rated with 5 stars. There are some photos that the participants would like to share of their adventure. Venturingfest 2018 Come join us for Venturingfest 2018 at The Bechtel Summit Reserve in West Virginia! There will be many fun adventures, like zip lining, BMX biking, water sports, skateboarding, and many more. This is a six day program full of high adventure, fit for any Venturer. It is from July 1st – July 6th, 2018, so save the date! Also, this year is a special year, because it is the 20th year anniversary of Venturing! What better way to celebrate than to be around your fellow Venturers.

Also, Area 5 is working with Area 3 to send a contingent on charter buses. We hope to see you there!
