PRAYER TO THE BLESSED VIRGIN (Never known to fail). Oh, most beautiful flower of Mt. Carmel, fruitful vine splendor of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me, herein you are my mother. Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to answer me in this necessity. There are none that can withstand your power. Oh, show me herein you are my mother. Oh, Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee (3x). Holy Mother, I place this cause in your hands (3x). Sweet mother, I place this cause in your hands (3x). Holy Spirit, you who solve all problems, light all roads so that I can attain my goal, you who gave me the divine gift to forgive and forget all evil against me and that in all instances in my life you are with me, I want in this short prayer to thank you for all things as you confirm once again that I never want to be separated from you in eternal glory. Thank you for your mercy towards me and mine. The person must say this prayer 3 consecutive days, after 3 days the request will be granted. This prayer must be published after the favor is granted. Adopt A Pet... Pets of the Week Sweetie
Boxer Mix, 1 Year Old Female, Tan/White Sweetie is a 1-year-old, tan and white, boxer mix. She came to the humane society from an overcrowded shelter in Ohio. She is a happygo-lucky girl who loves attention. She wants to climb right up in your lap and shower you with kisses. She also goes crazy for treats! She likes other dogs and is ready to go home with you today. Do you have lots of treats at your house for Sweetie?
Billy
Boxer/Hound Mix, 3 Year Old Male, Black/White Billy is a 3-year-old, black and white, boxer/hound mix. He came to Mohawk Hudson from an overcrowded shelter in Ohio and is ready for his new family. Billy loves attention and would like to sit with you for some quality petting time. He is always excited to go for walks so he can sniff and explore. He already knows sit and takes treats so gently. Could Billy be the new man in your life.
Griddle
Domestic Shorthair Mix, 3 Year Old Male, Grey/White Griddle is a very large grey tiger and white puss with big yellow eyes. Three years ago, Griddle’s former owner took in a stray cat and she gave birth to Griddle and his littermates at her home. Griddle and Bugsy stayed. He is young and a little shy, but that’s understandable. Their family couldn’t keep him after their owner got really sick. He has lived with other cats. He’s shy at first, but leans in for petting if you just give him a minute. These two brothers would be especially happy if they could go home together.
Bugsy Domestic Medium Hair Mix, 3 Year Old Male, Grey/White Bugsy is a 3-year-old, domestic long haired, grey and white cat. He has wonderful curly eyebrows. Three years ago, Bugsy’s former owner took in a stray cat and she gave birth to Bugsy and his littermates at her home. Bugsy stayed, and I can understand why. This is one beautiful cat. Bugsy is a big hunk of a cat, with huge green eyes and a perfect face. He is young and a little shy, but that’s understandable. Bugsy’s family couldn’t keep him after his owner got really sick. He has lived with other cats. He’s shy at first, but leans in for petting if you just give him a minute. He’s likely to be on the quiet side, but will warm up after a few days and be a lovely, affectionate cat.

Turn excess scraps of paper into delightful eggs put on display for the holiday. * Purchase corn starch eggs. Corn starch is used in everything from packing materials to children’s craft products. Corn starch can be molded into solid forms or foam-type consistencies. Egg kits are sold with this green material. When Easter is over, the corn starch eggs can be put out for composting. Foam-type eggs may be dissolved with water. * Make edible eggs. Traditional Easter eggs can be wasteful if the eggs are boiled and used entirely for display. Rather, make eggs that will be enjoyed and are not at risk of spoiling too soon after being on display. Gelatin-dessert eggs is one way to use the eggs after Easter, and creative people can try crafting eggs out of meringue as well. * Dough eggs: Have the children get out their favorite modeling dough and craft multi-colored eggs as a fun, rainy-day project. Those who want the eggs to last can purchase actual clay from the craft store or whip up their own medium at home. After drying, the eggs should be ready to paint. * Drained eggs: Those interested in using the yolks and albumen from the eggs for cooking can poke small holes into the eggs and drain them. Then the remaining eggshells can be decorated and put on display.

These two babies were rescued from a bad situation down in a Florida trailer park. The people who rescued them thought they could keep them but found themselves to be homeless shortly after arriving in New York. They brought them in to us. We took them in, gave them shots, de-wormed them and got them vet checked. Now they are ready to find new, forever homes. They are beautiful and sweet baby boys.
Jonah
Jonah is a southern rescue who joined us this past weekend. He was found in a trash bin crying when he was rescued. He is up to date on shots, de-wormed and ready to go. This boy is a real lover, is very bright and easily trained. He already knows sit and stay. He will make a wonderful addition to any home.,

But it is in your best interest to reCall Jerry 321-5457 main calm and follow a few procedures. First, slow down and put on your right-turn signal to indicate you will need to move into the right lane. Some people prefer to put their four-way-flashers on after they have successfully cleared the lanes and are ready to navigate onto the shoulder. Try to select a spot where you are not on a bend or where there is poor visibility or your vehicle cannot be seen by other drivers on the highway. You do not want to be injured while exiting or attempting to work on the pulled-over vehicle. Drivers should keep an emergency roadside assistance preparedness kit containing flares, emergency triangles or cones, a flashlight, batteries, a poncho, booster cables, duct tape, a utility knife, cord, a blanket, and first aid supplies in the car as a precaution. Each item serves its own unique purpose. The Canadian Automobile Association recommends staying inside the vehicle, especially on a busy road. Tow trucks and police vehicles typically cruise busy stretches of road and help may arrive in a matter of minutes. Those who have a roadside assistance plan membership can use a cell phone to make a call for help. It is best to wait in the car until a tow truck or police arrive.

Did You Know? The drive-in movie theater was the brainchild of Richard Hollingshead, Jr., an auto products sales manager at his father’s Whiz Auto Products store. Hollingshead wanted to combine his passion for automobiles with his love of films. After testing different parking configurations and imitating weather conditions in his own driveway to simulate the drive-in movie experience, Hollingshead filed for a patent for the drive-In theater. He received the patent on May 16, 1933. The first drive-in was opened on June 6, 1933, in Camden, N.J. The price of admission was $.25 for the car and each person inside. Drive-in theaters peaked in popularity in the 1950s, when there were roughly 5,000 drive-ins operating across the United States and Canada. According to Drive-Ins.com, currently there are about 365 drive-ins remaining in the United States and 55 in Canada.

(MS) -- Visibility is something many motorists take for granted, especially during the day, when sunlight tends to make drivers less cautious than they might be at night. But as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration notes, more traffic accidents occur during daylight hours than at night, when headlights make vehicles more visible to other motorists and more pedestrians are walking around.

Though many drivers feel more comfortable during daylight hours, pedestrians and oncoming traffic are not always easy to see, especially when weather and road conditions are unfavorable. Fortunately, there are easy ways for drivers to improve their daytime visibility.

Some cars have daytime running lights based off their headlamps. These are not very bright and can ultimately cause the lamps to wear out prematurely. Philips LED DayLight DRLs are equipped with high-powered LUXEON(R) LEDs that project a powerful, bright white light and a wide beam, making a vehicle more visible to fellow motorists as well as pedestrians. In addition, the Philips LED DRLs allow drivers to switch from using their standard headlights to an LED light source during the daytime, extending the life of the headlights while drawing less power from the vehicle. * Routinely check windshield washer fluid. Some vehicles have just one reservoir for windshield washer fluid, while others equipped with a rear wiper typically have two. Locate these reservoirs and make sure there is an adequate amount of fluid in each, especially during the winter and early spring months when snow and debris such as sand or salt from the roadways can accumulate on the windshield and make it difficult to see. If the reservoir is empty, but you are out of windshield washer fluid, do not use water as a replacement, as water can freeze and cause damage to the reservoir and hoses. * Inspect wipers and replace the blades if they are sacrificing visibility. Old or worn out wiper blades can also negatively impact visibility. Ford Motor Company recommends drivers inspect their vehicle’s wiper blades at least once every six months or as soon as they fail to clear your windshield completely or leave streaks. Older vehicles with pitting on the windshield tend to be harder on wiper blades, so drivers who have cars with some extra years under their belt should inspect their blades more frequently. * Clean interior glass and mirrors. Interior glass can suffer from film buildup that can reduce a driver’s vision, especially during daytime hours when such buildup can create a hazy reflection from the sun. This film can be especially thick in cars where drivers or their passengers routinely smoke. In addition to cleaning the interior glass, keep the rearview and side mirrors clean and properly adjusted so your vision is not compromised while driving. Drivers should be able to see all of the views around the back of the car, especially the blind spots along both sides of the vehicle. When cleaning or adjusting the rearview mirror, remove any trinkets or other items hanging from the mirror. Such items might add some personality or aesthetic appeal, but they can also prove a significant distraction and make it difficult for drivers to see the road.
