HIGHLIGHT ACTING TROUPE PRESENTS “IT WAS A DARK AND STORMY NIGHT” The Highlight Acting Troupe will be performing “It Was a Dark and Stormy Night” written by Tim Kelly, directed by Kathryn Capalbo, and assisted by Ken Ryer on Friday and Saturday, April 12, 13, 19, 20 at 8 pm and Sunday, April 14 and 21 at 2 pm. EXTENSION OFFERS SPRING GARDENING CLASSES Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rensselaer County will offer four gardening classes in April. Master Gardener Doug Pratt will show pictures of his garden, outline a vegetable garden plan and open the floor to discussion and questions during “Vegetable Gardening 101” on Thursday, April 4. David Chinery, Extension educator, will explain how to have the greenest grass ever during “Growing A Great Lawn” on Wednesday, April 10. “Maintaining Your Perennial Garden,” held on Thursday, April 18th, and taught by Master Gardener Carol Mastromarchi, will tell you what to do, when to do it, and how it will help you have beautiful blossoms all season. On Tuesday, April 23, Master Gardener Helen Dolan will show us how to entice the winged ones to your backyard during “Gardening To Attract Butterflies.” All programs start at 7:00 PM and are held at the Extension Education Center, 61 State Street, Troy. FREE PASTA DINNERS Please come and join us on Tuesday evenings at 5:30PM at the First Reformed Church in Wynantskill for a free pasta dinner. Dinner includes pasta with either plain or meat sauce, tossed salad, rolls, homemade

MELVIN ROADS POST TO HOST SPAGHETTI DINNER The SONS Squadron of the American Legion Melvin Roads Post 1231 will be holding a Spaghetti Dinner Friday, April 19th, from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. The meal will consist of spaghetti, meatballs, sausage, bread and dessert. Adults are asked to donate $8.00 while children under 12, $4.00. You can “eat in or take out”. The Post is located at 200 Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush. Proceeds will go toward the SONS ongoing program on behalf of our veterans.
ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT BREAKFAST The Poestenkill Christian Church, 721 Snyder’s Corners Rd., Poestenkill, will be having their monthly all you can eat breakfast on Saturday, April 6th, from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. Cost is $7.00 for adults and $3.50 for children under 10.
