WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Is there more to life than this? Do you ever question the relevance of the Bible? Does God exist? Did humans really evolve? Do you know where the different people races came from? Did dinosaurs exist with people? Why is there death and suffering in the world? Was there really a Noah’s Ark and a worldwide flood? How old is the earth? Who determines what is right and wrong? What role does the devil play in my life? Do you ever ponder on questions like these and wish you had truthful answers? Look no further! We have your answers. After this study you will be able to answer all these questions, and many more, with absolute certainty. Join us every Wednesday night through July 31, 2013 at 7:00pm for a casual, relaxed, FREE study titled The Foundations at Connecting Point Church. We are located at 568 Columbia Turnpike in East Greenbush, next to Spare Time Bowling. Visit us on the web at www. myconnectingpoint.org or email us at connectme@myconnectingpoint. org.

PUBLIC INVITED FOR A WALK IN THE WOODS

Join the Capital District Chapter of the New York Forest Owners Association (NYFOA) and the Rensselaer Plateau Alliance for a free walk on Sunday, May 19th, starting at 9:00 am at 1463 Plank Road, Petersburgh, NY 12138. Master Forest Owner Walter Kersch will lead us on the walk through his managed woodlot to see a diverse forest mix with openings created for wildlife habitat improvement. The forest understory exhibits severe deer browse damage of many desirable tree species, but some nice black cherry seedlings are regenerating in recently harvested areas. Beech control measures have been employed in previously high graded stands, lessening competition for seedlings of desirable species. Walter has promised to demonstrate how logs are scaled (measured) for sawing, and a portable band sawmill will be on hand to make lumber. Let’s see how close Walter comes to estimating the board feet volume in the log! Families are welcome. Please allow about 3 hours for this informative stroll. Wear sturdy shoes, dress for the weather, and apply your preferred insect repellent. Contact Walter at (518) 283-5509 or Phil at 895-5346 by May 18th to help plan parking, handouts, etc. Find good directions at www.pineridgexc.com.
