For the first service event of the summer, Bravo KIWIN'S held a beach clean up at Santa Monica. Members paired up and picked up trash, covering ground from the Pier to Venice Beach! They were actively traveling back and forth across the sandy surface for five hours in order to back to our public areas and environment. After putting in a few hours of hard work, they celebrated with pizza! Since there were some new faces, President Thomas Ngo and VP Jasmine Shad gave a quick presentation about the mission of KIWIN'S. Having fun under the sun was a great way to kick off a new term for Bravo KIWIN'S! We can't wait for what the school year has in store : -)))

On July 3, LACES KIWIN'S made cupcakes for our bake sale. They made 42 cupcakes to sell at the beach for July 4th. LACES representatives, Lauren, Mina, and Nara worked hard to bake delicious cupcakes to sell. It was a very exciting event and they had fun while fundraising for their club funds. Although they did not get to sell all of it, they still made $54 dollars that can be attributed to lowering member dues and purchasing other club material.

On July 3rd, 2017, the July DCM was held at Pan Pacific Park next the Grove Shopping Center. At the DCM, three ice breakers were held as well as an information session by your Crystal Lt.G, Julie Han. During the information session, the voting of Gem of the Month took place, upcoming events were announced (check pages six through nine), and we had representatives from each club update the division on what events were occurring within their school club. It was a fun and productive day and we all look forward to our next divisional event.

SO YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT KEY LEADER? What is KEY LEADER?

Key Leader is a weekend experiential leadership program for today's young leaders. This life-changing event focuses on service leadership as the first, most meaningful leadershipdevelopment experience. A Key Leader will learn the most important lesson of leadership-it comes from helping others succeed.

But..like What do you even do at KEY LEADER? BOY, am I glad you asked! You will be able to participate in small and large group workshops, discussions, and team building activities. You will also be able to build your skill as a leader that will allow you to change your home, school, and community for the better. No matter how much you doubt, this weekend-long adventure WILL allow you to connect and discover new friendships and experiences that you won’t ever forget.

Not Convinced? REAL TALK 101 Richard Jang's Experience (Fall Key Leader 2016) "Hey Crystal Division!!! I just wanted to take this time to promote and share my experience at Key Leader! I was the only one from Crystal to attend, following another KIWIN'S member from Goldstone Division! The Next Key Leader will be take place in October and I highly encourage you guys to attend this amazing program! I found it to be more, if not as, enjoyable than DCON!! Key Leader Promotes Educational values of taking on and being a leader! You will learn about various characteristics of being a leader, and at the same time meet SO MANY NEW FRIENDS LIKE I DID!!! Please consider attending because this experience will highly broaden and expand YOUR CNH KIWIN'S and CNH experience like it did for me. If you would like to attend the next Key Leader, please contact Julie Han and Robert Santo."
