Service Spotlight Fairfax High School: Valentine’s Day Fundraiser On February 14, Fairfax Crystal KIWIN'S had a Valentines theme fundraiser. We decided to try out a bake sale again since it worked fine last time. We sold cupcakes and cakes to help decrease the cost of DCON. Unfortunately, we didn't sell all of the goods we had so we did not make any profit. Our fundraiser was set at the same day as the Valentines dance which might have been the cause to the issue. We learned not to have a fundraiser the same day as a school event and that not all fundraisers will work out as planned.

Service Spotlight Palisades High School: Westside Children’s Center Pali KIWIN’S members took their Saturday morning to volunteer at Westside Children’s Center. Together the members renovated the children’s center to create a more lively and positive environment. The members fixed up benches by sanding and recoating the benches with paint. Flower beds were also revamped. Then the members dug up the soil and removed weeds, grass, and rocks in order to clear a dirt path for the children to walk through. It was a great fun and productive day spent serving together to improve grounds for learning.

Conclave/February DCM Conclave took place at the Greenway Theater of Fairfax High School where Crystal members from all five schools were present on this eventful day. With dedication and emotionpacked speeches, four candidates and their campaign managers executed their speeches. At the end the day, 2017-2018 Crystal Lieutenant Governor Julie Han gave birth to 2018-2019 Crystal Lt.G-elect Mina Choi. We are very proud of everyone who stood courageously on that stage at Conclave and you are a great inspiration to everyone. Thank you again to all of our advisors, the audience members, and the school representatives for spending your Saturday in supporting the division and for allowing this successful conclave to take place.

Upcoming Events March DCM: Saturday March 18th Join Crystal Division in the last DCM of the 2017-2018 term! We will be preparing for DCON, reviewing cheers, distributing and creating Friday Night attire, having a yearly recap, and more activities! This DCM is not limited to only DCON attendees and everyone is always welcome to join! District Convention 2018: April 6-8 Hashtag Lunchbag with Fairfax KIWIN’S Fairfax KIWIN’S will be helping to assemble lunch bags to feed hungry people!
