CAMP ADVENTURE Our full day camp, “Camp Adventure” is a great way for your child to have fun and meet new friends this summer! Your child will experience camp with peers of the same age group where they will discover a variety of activities - they are certain to have a great experience at Camp Adventure this year! Camp Adventure fills up fast and in previous years has sold out for several weeks, so you’ll want to get your child registered soon so they don’t miss out. Every week will be packed with adventure, excitement and surprises. Each week we will bring the fun to your child and go on a field trip. We have scheduled many experts in their field to come offer your child a lasting summer camp experience!

We allow 5 year olds in our day camp as long as they have completed kindergarten.

FEES $125/week

Includes all administration fees and a camp t-shirt. Field trips and Before & After Care included. Late fees will apply of pick-up is after 6pm.

Specialty Camps

EXTEND YOUR DAY!

Make your half day camp a full day by adding Camp Adventure to the afternoon. Your child can go to a Specialty Camp during the morning, then join Camp Adventure in the afternoon. Add-ons are an additional $65 per week and begin at 12PM. [Restrictions apply, see Page 15] Only Specialty Camps located at Main Campus.

"Jimmy the Bat" Baseball With a fun and positive environment, your child will learn all basic facets of America's pastime, with an emphasis on proper fundamentals, teamwork and sportsmanship. Basic conditioning and proper stretching will be introduced as well. A baseball game will be played daily. Coach Felce played with the Atlanta Braves, in college at USF and has many years of coaching experience at all levels. Your child will learn from a professional! Multi-Sports Camp This camp is designed for the child who wants to learn and explore all kinds of sports and sport-related games! This fun and energetic camp will have your child learning the ins, outs and tricks of several popular sports and some that aren’t so well-known. From kickball to baseball, football, soccer and more - experience the full roster of all things sports! Ages: 6-15 Fees: $120 Camp Instructor: Tim Dublino

Now is your chance to work with an Olympic tennis coach and learn about the game or improve your skills. Camps are designed to enhance a player’s progression. Beginning players will learn forehand, backhand and serve. All children will play and learn through fun games and drills. Coach John Angel is a high-performance coach and has many years of experience in training Olympic and professional tennis players. Lessons are also available throughout the summer months. SOCCER CAMP This fun and recreational camp will teach campers soccer skills in a positive, fun training environment and offer an opportunity to develop individual and team soccer skills regardless of playing level. VOLLEYBALL CLINICS Volleyball Clinics are a great way to introduce your child to the game or improve upon their skills. Taught in a fun and energetic environment, Coach Miller will focus on basic through advanced skills. Little Techs Camp Kids will have a blast while boosting their academic skills at the same time! Your Little Techs will perform cool science experiments, work on creative engineering projects, tackle higher-level thinking challenges and have tons of fun while learning! All of our students are provided with their own iPads while at camp. Snack and drink will be provided daily. Create animated stories & games simply by learning to drag and drop images. Students have endless hours of enjoyment while developing critical thinking and essential computer programming skills. No previous computer programming experience necessary. INTRO TO ROBLOX (Ages 8-13)  Available Week 1, PM Learn how to use Roblox built-in editor and Lua code for their 3D worlds. Publish, share and play the games created! Explore the most popular games in Roblox and use your strategies for engagement to add to your own work. No previous experience necessary. Cooking Camp Ready for your child to be the next Masterchef Junior? Start by learning the basics at our popular Cooking Camp! Your child will experience the fun of cooking, while learning about healthy options and kitchen basics. Each child will leave with a recipe book for items created throughout the week. Challenge Island® is a one-of-a-kind enrichment program on the cutting edge of S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art, & math) education and 21st Century Learning. NASA JUNIOR ASTRONAUT TRAINING  Available Week 1 This hands-on program designed with NASA explores all atmosphere, solar system and space phenomena as well the forces of flight, living in space and the challenges of space travel. Children will build their own Sky Blazer rocket and experience a real rocket launch. RED HOT ROBOTS  Available Week 2 for kids in 2-7th grade Learn about the uses of robots in our world & spend time experimenting with super cool redhot robots - sound sensing, line-tracking, amphibious and robots that can even play soccer! Build your very own working robot to take home! (Additional $25 materials fee). SPY ACADEMY 1: MISSION IMPOSSIBLE  Available Week 3 Your mission, should you choose to accept it is to decode secret messages using your own secret code breaker, and explore the science of metal detection & night vision. Explore evidence gathering & analysis, in real crime/spy scenes. SCIENCEAPALOOZA  Available Week 4 A mixed bag of fun science! “Nature”: learn how birds & beasts catch their prey without becoming someone else's lunch & dissect an owl pellet to see what they ate & build a bird house to take home! "Shutterbugs": explore the use of light & make a cool kaleidoscope, then make a camera that will help you understand cool optics. GROSSOLOGY: THE SCIENCE OF OUR BODIES  Available Week 6 Venture inward on a journey down the “Mad Science Organ Trail” finding our organs & body systems. Create an organ apron and a model lung to take home. Discover some of the gross body chemistry we all need -burps, gas, spit and mucus - make your own brain goo to keep! DETECTIVE SCIENCE - CSI  Available Week 7 Team up with fellow campers to solve the "Great Cookie Caper” crime! Develop skills that will be needed as you use new devices to collect & record your evidence and solve the crime. Along the way to becoming a CSI expert you will also work with chemical bonds, discover conductivity, and make your own invisible ink to take home. EUREKA INVENTION CAMP  Available Week 8 Overcome a series of challenges using basic materials, simple machines, tips from famous inventors and the most important of all- their mind. With a little bit of ingenuity, children will create catapults and forts, construct working light sticks to take home, and assemble a set of circuits with batteries and light bulbs.

Join us as we explore the many aspects of dance - from contemporary and jazz to ballet and more. This camp is great for both the beginner or advanced dancer looking to improve their skills. Campers will also learn the history of dance, work on dance-related crafts and learn the importance of teamwork. Little Ballerinas Camp This fun camp will have your independent dancer learning the basics of ballet, which serves as a base for many other dance types. They'll learn French dance terminology as well as proper stretching. A craft and light snack will be offered each day. Irish Dance Camp Irish Step Dance is one of the most traditional dance forms found in the Celtic regions of Europe. Developed centuries ago, this fun and energetic dance technique will have your child learning the basics as well as learning a complete jig during the camp week! Boat Fishing Camp One of Palm Harbor’s most unique camps, your child will become part of the crew of a small fishing charter boat! As your child enjoys the waters of Pinellas, they will learn all about their surroundings, fishing techniques and fish identification. Each boat is led by a United States Coast Guard approved Fishing Charter Captain, who is fully insured and background screened by the Florida Department of Children & Families. If your child has a tendency to get motion sickness, we suggest our “land fishing” camp. Campers who do get “sea sick” will have to be returned to shore and picked-up promptly. Ages: 8-15 Schedule: 8:15AM - 12PM Fees: $250 Weeks Available: 5 - Mon, Tue, Wed Camp Instructor: Captain Christian Zarra 9 - Mon, Tue, Wed Location: Ozona Fish Camp What To Bring? Campers should wear water-appropriate clothing and flip-flops or water shoes. Hats, water, light snacks and sunscreen are needed each day. Your child will be provided with their own fishing pole to utilize during camp and to keep once camp is over. Please arrive early for check-in (no later than 8:15 AM). Boats depart promptly at 8:30AM and will not wait for campers not in attendance; and, no refunds will be issued for late campers who miss a day.

Land Fishing Camp Captain Dave Blanchard leads this fun, waterside camp program as we explore the Florida nature at Pop Stansell Park. Each child will learn the basics of fishing, including how to bait a hook, tie knots and the proper fishing techniques. Each child will be provided with their own fishing pole to be utilized during camp times and take with them when camp is over! Ages: 7-12 Schedule: Monday - Friday , 9AM to 12PM Fees: $130 Week Available: 8 Camp Instructor: Captain Dave Blanchard Location: Pop Stansell Park (Fishing Pier) What To Bring? Please send your child in water-appropriate clothing (bathing suit is okay). Hats, water and sunscreen are needed each day.

Each year, through the support of donations from local businesses, organizations and private individuals, CSA Palm Harbor is pleased to offer a free fishing program to our community’s children. Your child will have a great time exploring the waters of beautiful St. Joseph’s Sound and spending time with a licensed charter boat captain on-board a charter fishing boat. This Free Fishing Series is reserved for children that have not had an opportunity to sail with us in previous years. Registration for this program is free and is first-come, first-served. Space in this program is limited due to the number of boats we have available. Spaces will fill up - early registration is highly recommended. Registration must be done in-person at The Centre (1500 16th Street). At time of registration, a $50 check is required to hold your child’s space. This check will be given back to you at time of your child’s attendance in the program. If your child does not take part, your check will be used to offset costs associated with the taken space. Tae Kwon Do Camp Tae Kwon Do is a great martial art that teaches self defense, sportsmanship, and discipline. Our instructor has years of experience and is a fifth-degree international black belt. This camp is for both the beginner and the advanced learner looking to sharpen their skills. No uniform is needed. Gymnastics Camp This recreational program is based on the developmental curriculum of the USA Gymnastics Program. Each session is designed to meet the developmental needs of your child. Your child will be challenged in a safe, structured, educational environment learning gymnastics skills that will carry them through life. Elena and Maria Harabagiu have more than 40 years of experience in gymnastics, they are members of USAG and have a Certificate in Safety and Risk Management. Junior Counselor Program Our Junior Counselor (JC) program focuses on developing leadership skills in teens age 13-17 through working hand-in-hand with our summer camp administrative team. JCs are an integral part of our programming and assist in all aspects of summer camp program planning and administration. This program is perfect for those seeking Bright Futures hours, too! The Junior Counselor program is for interested teens that want to take part in our summer activities and be the “helping hands” in a day camp setting. JCs will have various duties in the camp program such as: setting up rooms for the day, preparing crafts, leading games and sports, being an active member of the Camp Adventure Team and much more. There is no cost to participate in this program; however, interested teens must submit the following information to be considered, as this is a competitive program and spaces are limited. JCs are asked to commit to five (5) of the ten (10) weeks of summer camp. They will be scheduled for four (4) hour shifts. To get started, complete a “Junior Counselor Program” application, available online, and return it to the indicated address on or before 4/30/19. Applications consist of: 1. the program application 2. a letter of reference (from a non-family member), and 3. a copy of your latest progress report or report card Teens selected for the program will complete a series of interviews and training prior to the start of summer.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION. Registration for all camp programs is done on a first-come, first-

served basis. We have an online registration system, located at www.PalmHarborCamps.com. Online registration is available 24/7 and payment can be made using any major credit card at time of registration. Registration can also be done in person at The Centre located at 1500 16th Street in Palm Harbor. Registration hours are Monday-Thursday 8AM to 7PM and Friday 8AM to 4PM.

PAYMENT POLICY No child will be allowed to participate in camp until the weekly balance due is paid

in full.

Camp Adventure’s Payment Policy is: first week of registered camp must be paid in full at time of registration. Additional registered camp weeks will require a $25 deposit (per child, per week) to hold your child’s space and will be due at time of registration. For example, you register your child for 10 weeks of Camp Adventure. At the time of registration you will pay for week #1 ($125). And, you will also need to pay an additional $225 (9 weeks x $25) to hold your child's spot in the camp for weeks #2 through week #10. The $25 deposit will be applied to the cost of each week and final payment for each week is due one (1) week prior to the camp start date. Specialty Camps Payment Policy: Full payment is due at the time of registration to secure your child's space in the program.

The Fine Print

SPECIALTY CAMPS Fee(s), locations and times vary by Specialty Camp. If you add-on Camp Adventure and the Specialty Camp your child is participating in is not located at The Centre, there is no transportation available. Transportation to The Centre will be your responsibility.

CAMPER INFORMATION You must e-sign a waiver upon registration. No child will be admitted to

camp without the waiver being signed. Camper emergency information is also collected at the time of registration. Be sure to complete all the requested information, including emergency contacts, pick up information, allergies, etc. This information is required for your camper’s participation in our camps.

REFUNDS AND CHANGES All requests must be made in writing. Refunds will be issued ONLY for emergencies. There will be a $10 processing fee for all refunds and changes.

MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA As a public entity, we regularly take photos and videos of our programs. Media may be used for future print, web or video advertising, as well as social media, but will never be shared or sold to a commercial entity. PUBLIC RECORDS As per Florida Statute 119, all correspondence to/from the Palm Harbor Community Services Agency is considered a public record and may be released as allowed by law. CODE OF CONDUCT All campers are required to remain respectful of their Camp Counselors and

facilities. If a child’s behavior becomes unruly or is a disruption to participation, a parent/guardian will be contacted to pick-up the child immediately. Repeated unruly behavior will result in suspension or termination of program participation, without refund.
