India was a trip that I'll never forget. It was an incredible experience that expanded my global perspectives, and I made friendships that will last a lifetime! I'll always cherish India's rich culture and the memories I made there for the rest of my life!

MALIA

TESSUM MALIA TESSUM

The India program was an unforgettable experience! We networked with global business leaders, explored ancient landmarks, collaborated with local college students on a research project, and gained real-world intercultural business skills. My favorite parts were presenting at an international business conference, exploring local markets, and trying new food! I’m so grateful for the lifelong memories made with my professors and fellow Bennies and Johnnies!

What are you involved in on campus?

I was captain of the women ' s varsity soccer team at CSB I am currently a barista and the marketing manager of the Schu. I also took piano lessons and played for a jury. I had the opportunity to study abroad in Spain for a semester too What kind of career are you hoping to pursue?

I am hoping to pursue a career in sales/management out of college to gain professional experience and then eventually transfer into real estate.

What advice would you give to a student just starting their college experience at CSB+SJU?

Get involved with as much as you can right off the bat. If you involve yourself in clubs and programs early on, it gives you the chance to grow in them each year and apply for higher positions during your upperclassman years. These are the best types of opportunities and experiences you can gain for preparing yourself for post-graduation.

What was your favorite business class?

My favorite business class was Global Marketing because it gave me a deeper understanding of how businesses adapt to different cultures. This ties into my excitement for my upcoming study abroad trip to Germany following graduation, where I'll get to experience international marketing firsthand. What kind of career are you hoping to pursue?

I am hoping to pursue a career in business analytics and marketing, where I can combine my passion for data analytics with strategic decision-making. What advice would you give to a student just starting their college experience at CSB+SJU?

My biggest piece of advice to a student just starting is to take advantage of all the opportunities available. Get involved in clubs, explore different classes, and don't be afraid to do something new. Some of my favorite experiences came from trying new things. Also, take advantage of the amazing alumni network we have here.
