About Excelencia
The Excelencia program helps Hispanic/Latina girls understand the benefits of higher education, and educates their families about academic excellence, scholarships, high school graduation requirements and college.
Participants have the opportunity to meet successful Hispanic/Latina women from the Winston-Salem community and learn how they overcame barriers and achieved academic and career success.
Important Deadlines
10TH GRADERS! If you have received a letter from the Crosby Scholars Program that you are being dismissed, please participate in this online, self-paced Academy. This is the final opportunity to continue with the Program in your Junior year. Contact highschool@crosbyscholars.org with any questions.
Self-Paced, Online Career Exploration Academy is in your Crosby Scholars Student Portal. All modules must be completed by June 30th at 11:59 PM. Community Service: If you have not completed your Community Service, please submit the Online Community Service Form by June 30th as well.

Gabriella Trujillo | Alamar Cosmetics
Gabriela's story began in Alamar, Cuba. At only 3 years old, her family immigrated to Hialeah, Florida. Gabriela's love for makeup and beauty started from a young age, inspiring her to attend the Comix School of Makeup Artistry at only 18 years old.
After graduating, Gabriela worked for MAC kiosks at the mall, GlamSquad and even BoxyCharm. However, she knew she wanted more, so she took the leap of faith and founded Alamar Cosmetics.
