Advising highlights
All 1,000+ Crosby Scholars Seniors have a 1:1 advisor to meet with to help them navigate their post-secondary plans through a For College Pathway and a For Life Pathway! Currently employ 36 staff advisors, including three (3) Near Peer Advisors. 75+ parent and community volunteers in our Student-Selected Advisor Program are supported and trained monthly by Cindy Zimmerman. Began hosting individual advising meetings in February 2023 for the class of 2024 with our For College Pathway and For Life Pathway. Meeting outlines foster a conversation with seniors. They include reference links throughout, and a form with Crosby Scholars Program activities and services. The financial aid, programming and advising teams are closely aligned to support one another in two-month increments so student services are reinforced by conference notes. Fall 2023 began small group junior advising at nine (9) Title I schools with the c/o 2025 and will transition to individual advising for all juniors in Spring 2024. C/O 2025 online advisor forms are due by December 1, 2023. Expanding the CrosbyPlus offerings: 9th + 10th Grade Advising Program Reporting through Naviance - need liaison support
