TYPES OF ADMISSION

Early Decision (ED)

Usually in mid-October to mid-November

Early Action (EA)

Usually in mid-October to mid-December

This is a binding agreement. If you are accepted, then you are committing to attend.

Acceptance rates can be higher.

You are accepting this school without seeing your financial aid offer.

You submit your application and usually hear a decision around by New Year's or in January. No commitment until May 1.

You apply early, you hear back early!

EA is very popular now, so it does not offer a competitive edge for acceptances.

KEEP DATES IN MIND! SET REMINDERS.

TYPES OF ADMISSION

KEEP DATES IN MIND! SET REMINDERS.

Rolling Admissions

Opens as early as August or September

Regular Decision (RD)

Usually in mid-February or March

There is no set date by which to apply. Admissions decisions are made as applications "roll in."

This is your final date by which to be considered. Some schools set this date into late Spring.

Less pressure to meet a specific date.

When the class is filled, it is full.

More time if you need to pull up fall grades or re-test.

Admissions chances are often lower than during ED or EA for more competitive schools.

ACTION STEPS

take the ACT on March 7th (prepare, don't stress) register for Senior Academies (coming soon) plan your Summer (enjoy!) read your Crosby emails (yes, all of them)
