GOING GLOBAL, UP CLOSE & PERSONAL the SACRED HEART EXCHANGE PROGRAM
Sacred Heart Greenwich offers its students in the Middle School and Upper School a unique opportunity to participate in the Exchange Program at Sacred Heart schools around the world. For our students, the exchange is a way to live out Goal 5 of the Goals and Criteria, “Educating to personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom.� The hope is that through this program, students will be inspired to become more active, informed and responsible members of the school community and the larger global community. Through our unique Exchange Program, eighth graders can spend one week at another Sacred Heart school in the United States. Students live with a host family, then host a student from the same school. Upper School students may spend up to six weeks at another Sacred Heart school in the United States or abroad through our international Network in 44 countries including Australia, England, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Peru, Scotland, Spain, and Taiwan. To complete the experience, our students host the students they stayed with abroad here at home. The experience can be life changing, as it empowers young women to grow in self-confidence and develop leadership skills. Students experience new cultures and polish their language skills in the comforting setting of another Sacred Heart school.
