JUNE CHAPTER MEETING
June 2016 PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Morayma Salas, CSI, CCCA
.
A truly wonderful and remarkable year has flown by, and yet, there is still so much more that can be done. I want to thank everyone on the board that helped me succeed as President. Thank you Sponsors for your support of the Chapter as well.
Before the ice cream, awards were presented at the last Chapter meeting of our fiscal year. Morayma Salas received a Certificate of Merit and Appreciation from the Institute President, Lane Beougher, for her service as Chapter President. Jeff Stickney presented Morayma with the award. Morayma presented two Denver Chapter Past Presidents, Betty Chavira and current member Ann Baker, with tokens of appreciation for being part of a small minority of female Denver Chapter Presidents. The $1,000 CSI Denver Chapter Educational Fund Scholarship recipient, Adam Buehler, was announced. Adam is pursuing a Master of Architecture at University of Colorado - Denver. DENVER FISCAL YEAR 2016: CREATING A FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESSFUL COLLABORATION
We had a great year: In September, David Bishton was elevated to a Fellowship, we had outstanding participation at our Holiday event, CONSTRUCT Denver was a great success, Mike Young was nominated as incoming Southwest Region President, we finally granted the CSI Denver Chapter Educational Fund Scholarship, we had our first two Trusted Advisors from the Denver Chapter, and even though our membership went up and down, we now have 127 members. Let’s all keep up the good work and welcome Jeff Stickney in his new adventure as upcoming President. Again, thank you all very much.
