The second volume of the War diaries and accounts of Ludvik Netopil, former officer of the Czechosloak Batallion, part of the Internatuional Brigade in the Spanish Civil War. He and other members of this Batallion signed up for the Czechoslovak Forces in Great Britain, after a voyage to Agde, where exiled Czechoslovaks were gathering to move on to Great Britain, to the Cechoslovak Army Camp in Cholmondeley. The life story of Ludvik Netopil is a rare account of a participant and as a true communist, within the Czechoslovak Forces under the liberal politics of President Edvard Beneš.
