Introduction CSSC Sports and Leisure is a membership organisation that offers a huge range of sport and leisure activities to more than 115,000 members. Our aim is to get the civil service and public sector healthy and active, helping our members to make the most of their spare time through fun and social activities. CSSC London is the most active and diverse region within CSSC and this booklet provides you with a snapshot of the hundreds of events, activities and offers that are organised here for our members. For just £3.80 per month you get: • Access to a huge range of local, regional and national leisure and sporting activities. • Assistance with entry fees to certain sporting activities and training through our subsidy schemes. • Assistance for members with disabilities or those experiencing financial hardship, to enable them to fulfil their sporting and recreational potential. • Thousands of discounts in high street stores and on holidays, cars, fun days out and much more - powered through our Countdown Discount Scheme. • Discounted tickets for cinemas and a range of other attractions through the CSSC Online Shop. • Corporate membership of English Heritage - giving you, one accompanying adult and up to six accompanying children free admission to over 280 participating sites. • Quarterly competitions where you can win amazing prizes such as an iPad mini or SayShopping vouchers. • Regular communications to keep you up to date on all the latest activities and offers. Members can also take advantage of linked membership and nominate up to three adult family members or friends to join CSSC as well. You can enjoy all that CSSC has to offer with those that are closest to you, who might not qualify for membership by virtue of public sector employment. Linked members will pay the same membership fee and have the same membership rights as any other member. For more information on the benefits of CSSC membership, or to apply, please contact Jade Knowlden – jade.knowlden@cssc.co.uk or 01494 888435.

S E I T I V I ACT CSSC London organises a great selection of sports and leisure activities that members can participate in at a subsidised cost. Whatever you fancy, there’s something for everyone - such as theatre trips, golf and spa weekends, 5-a-side football, netball and much more! Or why not have a go at something you’ve never tried before? We organise ski trips, darts, snooker, day trips, and we even have our own sailing boat.
Theatre Trips We have a huge range of value-for-money theatre show tickets for 2015 Mamma Mia, Peter Pan, Lord of the Flies, Memphis, and many more! Guided Walks We have two great guides who will take you around London on various walks that cover all of London and include many themes. From secret London to its cosmopolitan areas; from London’s pubs to a walking history of the Huguenot silk weavers in London.

“I treated my two daughters to a CSSC trip to the theatre to see Matilda for their 21st and 23rd birthdays - what a hit! We had a brilliant time, the show is absolutely fabulous and all three of us agreed it was the best thing we had seen in a long time. Booking through CSSC was easy too - the team are so helpful. We now can’t wait for our next trip.” Kate Mosley - Matilda
Trips Throughout 2015 we will be offering subsidised return coach trips from Victoria and Heathrow to various attractions such as Bruges, Lille and Ostend. We also offer fantastic prices on return flight trips to Dubrovnik and Danube for 2015 – book early to avoid disappointment!
We attend Ladies Day at Royal Ascot every year with a group of colleagues from work. It started off as a small group but over the last couple of years the group has grown. It’s a fantastic day and 2014’s experience was made even better by CSSC’s organisation and ability to offer a discount and great customer service. CSSC we thank you. Kelly Kimpton - Ladies Day at Royal Ascot My family together with my sister’s family visited Gulliver’s Land last August as part of a CSSC Family Fun Day ticket offer. We had a great day, despite the weather! The park is smaller than some of the big theme parks, but is very child friendly and the tickets were fantastic value, not least because they also included lunch and an ice cream! We would happily go back and so will be looking out for similar CSSC offers this year. Joe Morrissey - Gulliver’s Land
Days Out We also offer a range of subsidised days out. Keep an eye out for golf and spa days, horse race days, Butlins family fun days and many more! Event Tickets Take in big ticket sporting events such as rugby at Twickenham, golf, cricket and many other popular events.

S Y A D R TASTE Why not try something you’ve never tried before? CSSC organises a fantastic programme, including: Archery White water rafting Indoor cycling Indoor bouldering Clay pigeon shooting Go karting
Flying Road cycling Ski & snowboard Wakeboarding Curling Wine tasting
For dates and prices please visit cssc.co.uk/activities/tasterdays.aspx There were several reasons why I enjoyed the day so much. Firstly, it was so easy to book the event with CSSC and to receive the joining details. There’s no effort required from those joining except to arrive and have fun. The event was totally as I hoped and expected it would be. Mostly though meeting the other lovely like-minded people from different backgrounds and sharing an exciting fun experience made the day. Have since been to other events and had the same experience. Thanks and I look forward to more events. Ken Bearsley - White Water Rafting

We had a great morning at Bisley for the clay pigeon shooting. Everyone had a really good number of shots with the clays flying in several different directions. Most of the shooting was under cover so we could continue even if it rained, and the instructor took particular care to make sure that the ladies enjoyed the session. I would heartily recommend it. Clive Wright - Clay Pigeon Shooting I attended the Archery Taster Session, situated conveniently near to London Bridge. The instructors were really friendly and helpful, and we had an opportunity to learn about and try our hand at archery techniques, followed by a fun competition to try out our new skills. I highly recommend this event. Garry Wiles - Archery Taster Session Clay pigeon shooting at Bisley is a very fun event run by a friendly bunch of trained professionals. I'd never fired a gun before giving it a go but can say it was well worth it, got to shoot some clay pigeons (eventually), have a laugh and make some new friends in the civil service. The trainers take their time to make sure everyone is safe and there is no rush at all to get you in and out the door. Well worth a shot, literally. James Bailey - Clay Pigeon Shooting

Volunteering CSSC London’s sporting, leisure and recreation programmes are only made possible because every year many volunteers give their time to ensure that members can enjoy a wide and diverse programme of activities and events. CSSC would like you to join in helping members to enjoy their time with us. However, what you choose to do depends entirely on your own interests and how much time you have to spare. Some volunteers give up their time on a regular basis; others help out occasionally whenever they have time. Whatever you do, you’ll be making a real difference. CSSC volunteering brings all kinds of opportunities. It broadens your experience and boosts your confidence. You could learn new skills or hone existing talents. It is also a chance to be part of a team that makes a difference to people working in the civil service and public sector. If you would like to know more about volunteering with CSSC please get in touch with the London Team Leader, Jade Knowlden at jade.knowlden@cssc.co.uk
