What Parents are Saying about Activ8! “I liked the excellent experience my kids enjoyed because of the friendly staff, the topics explored, and how much fun they had! They enjoyed making friends and seeing them everyday! The location was very nice, the building in wonderful condition, and the environment created by the staff made us feel safe and comfortable which made us happy too. Thank you for a great summer!” “We loved the exciting themes and almost daily crafts. I also really enjoyed the instructors. They made my daughter feel so special and even remembered her from last year, which made her feel amazing!” “The staff was friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. My kids were happy the whole time. They loved learning the topics because the staff made it fun for them.” “Usually, after school when I ask how was his day, response is “nothing,” or “Same thing as yesterday.” In Activ8, I did not even have to ask. As soon as he got in the car, he had lots of things to tell about the day. I absolutely loved it. Back few years ago, he asked if we can leave the Activ8 teachers a tip. :)”

The 6 BEST Reasons to Start Your Child in Creative Movement or Ballet Classes Has your child seen a dancer on stage or television and he or she wants to dance like that? Maybe you wonder if formal lessons are worth the expense. If you question whether the benefits of dance classes outweigh the costs, keep reading. 1) EXPOSURE TO A VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES. Exposing your child to many different activities increases the opportunities for positive experiences for your children. 2) EXERCISE. Dance is an excellent form of exercise. Dancing is fun, and it encourages children to stay healthy and active in an enjoyable way. 3) PHYSICAL COORDINATION & MENTAL ACUITY. This is one of the most important benefits of dance! When children begin to connect movement and music, something beautiful happens. They also become aware of how their bodies are moving. Guided movement and other techniques utilized during dance lessons help even very young children learn and develop fine motor skills and begin to apply those skills to other daily activities.
activ8er.com /
summ er ca m ps 2018
/
4) FLEXIBILITY, BALANCE & STRENGTH. There is no doubt that dancers are graceful and VERY strong. The development of flexibility, muscular strength, improved posture are benefits that will contribute to increased athleticism. Dance develops these attributes in kids, and ballet training is effective in establishing a solid foundation for future activities. 5) LEARNING & PROBLEM SOLVING. Dancing involves all brain functions simultaneously, and research shows that movement plays a crucial role in the learning process. Practicing creative arts and dance allows young children to explore problems and solve them through movement leading them to innovative solutions. 6) CARDIOVASCULAR FITNESS. Is raising a heart-healthy child important to you? Continuing to dance as children grow older is known to build cardiovascular stamina. If you are considering enrolling a young child in dance classes, be sure to find classes that emphasize creative expression and learning. Improvisation, imagination, creativity and musicality are key requirements that will help your young child foster and develop a love of movement to music.
