Big Bike Revival:
A simple fix, a big impact
Naheed hadn’t ridden her bike for over a year due to a puncture she couldn’t fix. Thanks to Big Bike Revival funding in Liverpool, a simple repair got her back on her bike & she is now cycling weekly.
Community Cycle Club: Improving health and mobility
Felix, who was considering a knee replacement and stair lift before joining the Aigburth Community Cycle Club, experienced remarkable health improvements: “I’ve lost two stone since starting cycling. I am now looking way younger, my blood pressure dropped from 200 to 125. My knees don’t hurt as much, I got my fitness back and I can walk up the stairs.”

Building a community
With our 70,000 strong members and supporters, we’ve achieved:
103 member groups with 3,321 ride leaders
957 volunteers contributing 9,700 hours
4,484 registered ride leaders
798 affiliate groups nationwide
500 campaigning volunteers in our Cycle Advocacy Network
New initiatives
• Launched Marcher Castles Way in Shropshire and Welsh borders. This was funded by you, our members, supporters and the transformative partnership and generosity of the Gill Foundation.

• Released the 122-mile Traws Eryri bike packing route in North Wales.
• Launched the Inclusive Cycling Experience in Greater Manchester and Inverness. The scheme offers free try-out sessions and non-standard cycle loans ranging from one day to one month.
Cycling UK experts offer skills and confidence sessions in traffic free spaces so recipients can get the most enjoyment out of their adaptive cycle before deciding if investing in one is right for them.
David’s story
David has Cerebral Palsy affecting his legs, making walking difficult. Through the Inclusive Cycling Experience Hub in Inverness, David discovered a new world of mobility. He shares:
“The hand cycle has enabled me to get outside and exercise, travelling distances I could never hope to walk or travel in my wheelchair. I’m feeling fitter, and happier.”
