The Task:

Along with managing weekly, consolidated supply delivery to over 3,000 stores across North America and Canada, Bunzl has helped TJX with several of their recent sustainability initiatives.

The Result:

Successfully transitioned all stores to FSC Certified, Phenol-free receipt tape. Phenol-free receipt tape can deliver a safer shopping experience for retail customers and staff. Bunzl has also assisted in the successful switch from poly to paper bags in select markets to meet new environmental legislation requirements. 6

IN-HOUSE SOLUTIONS Reducing Capital Investment

To effectively execute their full packaging rebrand and omni-channel rollout, Boot Barn selected Bunzl’s in-house custom packaging solution, Keenpac. In order to retain flexibility and capacity as well as avoid potential supply chain issues, the program was produced both domestically and internationally. The ability to access and leverage Bunzl’s capital for all of their production was a key benefit of the customized in-house solution. In order to ensure success, Bunzl provided Boot Barn with a streamlined account team, design services, and logistics expertise to manage all of the details. 10

With over 1,500 doors, Five Below needs a reliable partner with a well-established warehouse and logistics network like Bunzl to handle their fixtures and supplies program. Five Below was able to redeploy internal warehouse labor = Savings on revolving hiring costs, reduction in overtime and exorbitant temp labor costs. Five Below was able to repurpose internal space = Savings on outside storage costs and more room to focus on merchandise for sale. Sourcing Services Delivering Sustainable Solutions

In 2023 Bunzl introduced Aqua Chempacs, a new chemical line that uses disposable ChemPacs instead of pre-filled bottles and containers. A ChemPac is a concentrated cleaning solution that is encapsulated in a water-dissolvable film and dissolved in water on-location at the store.
