Where does the time go?

That’s another 12 months gone, as I write, soon it will be time to spend money, I mean be jolly. With the festive season in full flow and 2023 is just around the corner, there is plenty of enthusiasm from the public for coach

tourism.

Despite covid, thankfully we seem to be learning to live with it, and coach tourism is continuing to prosper. As we know a coach holiday is a unique experience, whether exploring Flanders, the West Country, the Highlands, a day trip to the seaside, or a show in the West End.

Without preaching to the converted, no other mode of transport comes close in terms of the camaraderie and bonding which develops amongst the passengers There's also that feeling of being looked after: from the start of a trip to the end of it, as many operators offer taxi and drop off service-no air or train service offers such convenience To help coach tourism thrive perhaps we could all do a little more to promote this unique branch of the travel industry by extolling these selling points to the

wider public Without wishing to be the poster boy, (I promise I am not on commission) the Coach Tourism Association does a fine job promoting coach tourism

The organisation is in good hands and can help coach operators navigate the uncertainty, if you are not a member, do think about joining as a coach operator or supplier you will benefit by being part of the CTA. I wish you all a Happy Christmas followed by a healthy happy and prosperous 2023
