Mustangs across America: The Takeoff by Tommy Anderson
This past April the largest single automotive event took place in the United States. It was a celebration of the 50 th Anniversary of the Ford Mustang, which first debuted at the New York World’s Fair in 1964. The organization Mustangs across America th orchestrated the 50 Anniversary Drive from Los Angeles, California to Charlotte, North Carolina. The first stop was a western birthday celebration in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the drive ending at the Charlotte Motor Speedway with a 50th Birthday Celebration hosted by the Mustang Club of America. The cruise started on April 10th, 2014 at Saleen SpeedLab in Corona, California and reached Charlotte, North Carolina on April 16th, 2014. I was fortunate to be invited to the private 50th Birthday Bash and the drive launch by Steve Saleen at his headquarters in Corona, California. On Wednesday, April 9th, I arrived at the Saleen SpeedLab about 3 hours before the party was to begin. It gave me a chance to view the complex and be there for the arrival of an estimated 300 Mustangs for the evening party. While waiting for the participants to arrive I toured the production facilities. This is the area where a stock vehicle, which is usually a Mustang, is delivered stock from a dealer and converted into a premium Saleen Muscle Car. I then took a walk through the front office and looked at the history of Steve Saleen and his racing career, the vehicles he had created, and the Saleen/Allen race car in the lobby. Around 4PM the flow of cars began and never ended. Mustang after Mustang arrived from all over the world. They included classic Mustangs, Saleen, Shelby, Roush, and late model Mustangs. There were Mustangs from all parts of the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, England, France, Slovakia, Czechoslovakia, and Germany, just to name a few. The evening ended with around 300 Mustangs arriving at the complex with over 600 attendees. All were invited to a tour of the facility, a meal served by In N' Out Burgers, plus a meet and greet with Steve Saleen and his family. The event was to end at 8PM but went later since it was also a launching point for the cross country drive the next morning. I was back at the facility bright and early in the morning for the vehicle line up and the start of the drive. It was a beautiful sunny Southern California morning about 45 degrees with a predicted high of 95 degrees. The lineup started a little after 7AM after a safety briefing was conducted for all the drivers. It took nearly an hour to get all of the vehicles in the proper order for the launch. It took at least 45 minutes for all of the vehicles to pull out mainly because exiting the complex onto the very busy California 91 Freeway at rush hour was a challenge. But all of the vehicles had safely left the area by 9AM without incident.

Women & Wheels by Cindy Nunn
Recently we hosted a contest for photographers and artists entitled “Women & Wheels. We wanted a broad range of images encompassing women of all ages, shapes and sizes, to show that one does not have to be a 'perfect 10' to be considered beautiful or worthy of magazine exposure. Right from the start we want people to see that REVOLUTIONS is not just for men, but is also for women who enjoy the freedom and thrill of driving, whether it be a car, bicycle, tractor, motorcycle, truck, or some other vehicle powered by an engine or propelled by wheels. We allowed entrants to vote for their favorite choices, and we also hand picked a few ourselves. So, please enjoy our selection of...
Earth Mothers, Sexy Sirens, Classic Beauties, Sporty Tomboys, Flirty Vixens, the Girl Next Door, Strong and Confident Road Warriors, and women who are just plain

1st Place Winner - Todd and Candice Dailey All images are Š gypsykissphotography Gypsykissphotograhpy is made up of two of us.
Todd's Bio... I feel like I have always had a camera. I can remember taking snap shots with my parent's cameras when I could barely walk. Ya gotta love Polaroid. I was always interested in photography. I took Photography classes all through Jr. and Sr. High and even decided I would go to school for Commercial Photography at Hennepin Technical College. After school I ended up working for Kodak in Quality Control. I worked there for 7 years until the lab closed. I since have worked for some other industry leading photography companies and have ended up working for the world's largest manufacturer of photofinishing equipment for nearly a decade. In one way or another, I have been in the photography business for almost 20 years. I have now decided to go back to my first love which is photography, and 3D artwork.
Candice's Bio... I grew up surrounded by art and photography, my mom gave me my first camera and has always been the art force in my life. When I was a teenager I went to John Casablancas modeling school and learned alot about modeling, runway, hair and make-up. As I got older I traveled around the States and ended up in North East Texas for 18 or more years raising my daughter. I worked for Glamour Shots for awhile doing hair and make-up, and also learned use of cameras. I have now returned to my home state of Minnesota. After returning to Minnesota I met Todd. And this is how Gypsykissphotography started.....We are both Gypsies and it all started with our first kiss. We both work side by side on all photography and artwork. We love art of any kind. This is going to be our 5th year together doing our work. We love it!!! We have gotten a paid cover for a book, and it has sold quite a few prints to buyers all over the world. This photographic capture by Sue “Suesie Q” Degregorio-Rosen, entitled “Debbie Deuce,” is an excellent representation of woman’s contribution to motorcycle culture. No longer relegated to riding pillion, a term derived from Scottish Gaelic for “little rug,” these women now take control of their own iron horses, owning the road as expertly as any man. Beautiful, strong and resilient, Debbie Deuce epitomizes the woman who knows what she wants and has the determination to get it, own it, and rule it.
Facts about Women and Motorcycles: ✗ The first motorcycle club for women was formed in 1940, called The Motor Maids. ✗ 1 out of 10 motorcycle owners in the United States is a woman. ✗ Research shows that women are safer motorcycle riders than men. ✗ Women riders are the fastest growing demographic in motorcycling.

Maynard Ellis, of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, is a feature and technical writer for our other magazine, Eye on Fine Art Photography. However, he is also an extremely talented artist, especially in the art of 2D and 3D mixed media digital art. He has had a love of digital art for a long time now and has been honing his skills over many years. He uses a variety of 2D and 3D computer applications to create mixed media digital artworks and digital fine art Photographic retouched images. His artistic styles and themes vary greatly as he experiments with different genres and images that inspire him. In recent times he has been focusing his energies on producing fine art to hang on walls, whether this be photo realistic 3D or more abstract digital painted images. He is also actively learning more about the wonderful world of using his Canon DSLR and hopes to have more fine art photographic based mixed media works throughout the coming year, although his main inspiration will continue to be working with 3D models and environments. WonderCon Anaheim 2014 by Tommy Anderson
Cosplayers were in full bloom on Easter weekend in Anaheim, California for the 2014 WonderCon at the Anaheim Convention Center. Participants and visitors numbered in the thousands this colorful weekend with many sporting their favorite or favorite fantasy figure or action star. Whether is being the Marvel Super Heroes, Star Wars Imperial Storm Troopers, to Indiana Jones fans this venue had it all. Visitors, cosplayers, comic book enthusiasts converged on this huge convention center to meet fellow enthusiasts, meet actors and actresses who played in the original movies and television programs. Even though this event is only about Ÿ of the size of the famed San Diego ComicCon it allowed for all attendees to visit booths, make up schools, prop designers, writers, producers and directors from movie and television studios wishing to promote past, present and upcoming shows. The cosplayers costumes went from the very basic to unbelievably elaborate in some cases with such attention to detail you would believe they were the actually costumes. Whether it was a fantasy comic book character or you favorite movie or TV hero you were not disappointed. I am always amazed by these events and the enthusiasm that is exhibited by both participants and attendees. I always find it fascinating talking to the stars about the character that they had played in their respective show. The lovely Claudia Wells (left) from the Back to the Future series is a very gracious and informative interview. I’m sure most of us remember Barry Clark (below) who played Gorn in the famous and iconic battle against Capt. James T. Kirk on Star Trek. I’ve known Mr. Clark from other events we have done and he is definitely a joy to talk to.
In addition to the many stars that I had talked to I got to meet and talk to Steve Neilson (left) of Cheyenne, Wyoming who does fantastic science fiction movie props. Here he is with his Y Wing Fighter from Star Wars.
Then there was Myra Mains (below) from Forbidden Panel who sported one of the best zombie make ups I’ve seen in a while from their Inland Empire Zombie Beauty Pageant. Forbidden Panel is an independent publishing company and event coordinator, specializing in graphic novels, comic books, and multimedia.
The gracious and beautiful Celeste Yarnall (below), an actress from many different programs, and her husband Nazim, were just a joy to meet and actually create a friendship with. It was amazing how much we had in common. Celeste was so kind as to autograph her book “The Complete Guide to Holistic Cat Care” for my wife and myself. Celeste also told me about her new book coming out “Paleo Dog” on nutritional dog care for your best friend. It will be out shortly on Amazon.com. I want to note that Celeste does know what she is talking about, not only being a noted actress and writer she also has a PhD in Nutrition.
I also spent some time watching members of the CINEMAMAKEUP School from Los Angeles practice their art. Makeup artists Nate Cohn, Lee Joyner, Midge Ordonez, Miya Aoki from the program are amazing from demonstrating their craft.
In addition I was able to meet the Winner Twins who together are bestselling authors, screen play writers, producers and directors.
So much can be said about this event and for a fan to be able to cover this event it was amazing. One highlight of the weekend event was the group shot of the Marvel Comic book Heroes in front of the fountain at the entrance to the Anaheim Convention Center.
When I was leaving the event on the final day I caught a glimpse of two of the cosplayers representing the feeling of many that this was a fun and exhausting weekend!
